    • High quality and nice organizer box
I used one of these to replace a worn o-ring on my Subaru Outback*. It would have cost me $10 to get one OEM o-ring but this kit gives me over 400 o-rings for about the same price. I've already found a few more places I can use this kit. Quality is the same as any other Buna-N o-ring that I've seen. I have seen similar kits used in professional workshops and this one has the same build quality. The kit comes with a cardbord outer box, which lists the o-ring sizes. I would have liked Metric to SAE DASH-equivalent but maybe I'm asking for too much. The plastic case is very nice, built well and serves as a very nice organizer. The only flaw with the case is the tiny sliding lock that can slide right off the case and go missing. As another reviewer said, don't open it upside down! *The oring was used to replace the oil filler neck gasket on my 2005 Subaru OBXT. ... show more

    • Good Assortment, Minor Quality Issuse
I bought this kit to have some generic replacement o-rings to be used in the kitchen and the shop. I was prompted to buy this after needing a replacement o-ring for a soy sauce bottle. Buna-N is safe to use in contact with food, though I don't know that these in particular are rated as food grade. They arrived with a light coating of oil over the seals - almost certainly residue from the manufacturing process. I don't count this against the product, just want to note it. I thoroughly washed mine before installing, and it works fine now. Most of the seals seemed to be made well, but several of one size of the smaller seals came with excess from the mold still attached. Most were salvageable, but it was a mild annoyance. The case is surprisingly well made and keeps everything organized neatly. The bottom has holes that the o-rings sit in and the top has pegs that the o-rings fit around. The pegs on the top have a little bar to keep the o-rings from flying off if you drop it with the lid closed. Overall, the kit has the common sizes and will be useful around the shop. It gets 4 stars because of the mild annoyance of having to remove the excess from some of the o-rings, but I would probably order this again. ... show more

A kit like this is a must for just about any car guy. I build BMW track cars, and I use these seals all over the place. For vehicles with a leaky reputation, my car doesn't waste a drop. And having all the sizes at your finger tips means you can work on cars of multiple generations and still have all the right parts. These o-rings are genuine JEGS Performance parts. It comes with a ton of o-rings and I am very satisfied with the quality. I just replaced an o-ring on a hose that goes into the power steering pump that was leaking. Two weeks later and still bone dry. The little slide that keeps the box closed is loose and feels cheap. It actually fell off when I was getting an o-ring out the first time so be aware of that. That is my only complaint, other than that it was a great buy. Huge set of O rings for the money, very nice case that keeps them organized and easy to judge the sizes. Needed the ultra small ones for an A/C tool and a Manifold set...worked perfectly, the set has covered every size needed so far...very pleased with the product.

To be honest, I haven't yet used a single ring from this set, but they give the appearance of being a quality set. The case is very well designed. Most sets I have like this I transferred all the contents to better cases, but that is not only not necessary for these, but would actually make the storage and organization worse. The actual O rings appear to be well made, but I haven't used any yet, so I can't speak to how well they will hold up over time. ... show more
