After researching numerous sites for a cap rack/organizer, I decided to give the CapRack 36 system a shot. For one, it holds 36 caps (a fraction of my collection) and two, other reviewers gave it somewhat positive reviews. So why not? Right? Anyway, the package arrived in timely fashion like in one day! Talk about superhero fast!!! The rack came in its original manufacturer's packaging which was packed inside an Amazon Prime box that included the small plastic, air pillows to provide some extra cushioning for its contents. The rack system is comprised of a black 5' nylon cord, 12 black plastic cap clips, and mounting hardware. The hardware allows for different options on where and how you want to mount the rack. You can hang it from the ceiling, from the back of a door, mount it on a wall, or hang it off a closet rod. The only assembly required was having to attach the cap clips onto the cord which took less than 10 minutes. After that, it's just a matter of putting your caps onto the clips which can hold up to 3 caps. Unlike what others stated, the caps are displayed straight and level with no tendency to sag or droop down so it actually looks good! The only drawback is not being able to see all your hats displayed. Best rack out there right now and for a great price!

Does the job but kinda trash. Does not really stick to the rope its supposed to hold onto. Best on a door I have mine in my closet. Meh. To each's own.

I just spent two hours assembling this cap rack. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, The picture showing how to attach the rope to the clips does not help, its too small and lacks detail. I had to figure it out by trial and error on how to attach the Cap Clips. Then you have to get them all straight , and moving them around on the rope after you fight to attach the clips is every worse. The instructions should say if you want to attach all the cap clips you need 4" spacing between each clip for balance. . The less clips you install, the wider space between clips. Instead you have to figure this out by yourself. The instructions should have given us a starting place. Finally, Trying to attach 3 hats to one clip is not as easy as the video makes it out to be. No one owns just one type of cap. Caps come in different thickness, some come with mesh backs, some are all cotton, some come with big or small buttons, while some come with none. . I wasn't so concerned about displaying my caps as I was trying to find something that could secure them with out getting crushed, or falling on the floor. Its impossible if not impractical to try to place three caps on one clip. Fighting with the clips just irritates the finger tips, and its not something I want to experience every time I change hats. I am really disappointed , for the time it took to figure it out I could have been doing something more useful. This is going back because it really doesn't do as it claims, at least not for me. It is also overpriced.

My husband has a lot of baseball caps and they have always just been strewn across the top of the closet. I've been meaning to purchase something to hang them on like this, but just never got around to it. Wish I'd done it sooner!! All of his caps are nice and organized. We filled just about every clip with three caps and had no problem securing the caps. As far as the installation, I did have trouble putting the cord through the opening in the plastic tab. The directions said to squeeze the cord, which I did but it is a really tight fit. Secondly, the plastic clips where you secure the cord are very hard to open (for me , anyway). I am in my late 50s and while I'm not what I would call weak, I do not have the best strength in my hands so it's probably because of that. Because I wanted to make sure they were spaced properly, I wanted to install them on the cord rather than turning the project over to my (stronger) husband. Otherwise, the cord is nice and sturdy. It installs easily with the over-the-door hook (the method I used) and then secured the bottom of the cord with the screw and anchor provided. Now the top of the closet space is freed up to store other items. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
