These are well made and fit perfectly in my Pentair 420 filtration system. After a few years of use from the old filters, I needed to replace them and these were very reasonably priced compared to buying them from other pool supply companies. Shipping was fast too.

These cartridges fit my Pentair 420 perfectly. They appear to be very sturdy, with plentiful glue used in the filter stabilization bands. As shown in product photos, they have ample openings for water to pass through freely as well. They got a little crazy with the band glue in places, with some glue globbing outside the band areas and some glue strings here and there on the media. I picked most of it off without issue. Not worth knocking a star off though, pretty minor stuff and probably not necessary to even worry about picking off like I did.

Just received the filters. They are the pleatco filters. The filters came only with one tie bands around the filter pleats. Is this normal? I will use the way it is if the fall apart I will ask for the refund and return product. One star for now. I will change stars if they work.

Great product but make sure you inspect the filters as soon as they arrive. One of mine was damaged and another was a mismatch. Apparently Pentair has changed the design of their filters, so you may end up with new and old design filters in the same order. At the relatively expensive price, I don't think that should happen. Had I waited too long too inspect mine, I might not have been able to return them for a refund.

Excellent product, delivered on time. Purchased to have a second set of filters to change when current filters are cleaned. In order to allow the filters to soak over night, and allowed to dry before cleaning the filters again in a few months.

Having purchased aftermarket filters in the past and wanting to go back to the higher quality Pentair filters, it was worth the extra money. The Pentair filters work great and are obviously sturdier in construction than the cheaper knockoffs. My last set of Pentair filters lasted 5 years with cleaning them twice a year. The knockoff filters only lasted 2 years and started falling apart on the 2nd cleaning. Will be using Pentair filters from now on, they are more expensive, but the savings comes from the useful life they provide over purchasing 2 sets of aftermarket filters
