Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage Full Synthetic 5W-30 is designed to maximize engine protection and is formulated to help stop leaks in engines with more than 75,000 miles. Backed by a 15,000-mile protection guarantee to keep you covered between oil changes and for the long run (see Warranty Information below), it is the first of its kind full synthetic high mileage oil made with natural gas and is designed to deliver less oil burn off than other high mileage oils (based on Sequence IIIH results). Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage motor oil conditions seals on older engines to give added protection to high- mileage vehicles. It offers complete protection—mile after thrilling mile—as it protects engines from loss of horsepower, offers excellent performance in extreme temperatures, provides unsurpassed wear protection (based on Sequence IVA wear test using SAE 5W-30), and provides better fuel economy (based on the latest industry standards). (Pennzoil Platinum Lubrication Limited Warranty: Protection for up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. Use an oil filter designed for longer oil change intervals and follow OEM manual and vehicle’s oil life sensor to maintain OEM warranty. I have been buying Pennzoil Platinum and Ultra platinum motor oil for 8 years now. I've been using there 0w20 and 5w30 motor oils. I've previously tried royal purple(2 years), Mobile 1 (1 year) Castor Oil (about 6 oil changes), offbrand from the qiuck lube places (i've only gone to quick lubes with generic oil like 3 times ever) generic oil in my generator. I have settled on Pennzoil. From a performance standpoint, once you put it in you don't have to worry about anything. It keeps everything in tip top shape. I have a Pontiac G8 GT and I've tried all of the oils above in my car. royal purple and pennzoil seem to perform the best but royal purple cost way too much. Also, at that time I never experienced Ultra platinum only platinum. After using ultra platinum I only use it in my sports car. Now my other vehicles get Platinum and Platinum high mileage. Its been beating like a drum. I currently do not have any negative complaints about this oil. Would I buy again? Yes been doing it for years already. Do I recommend it to others? If you know about Project Farm, you know he does great tests to truly show who has the best products available for whatever purpose they are claimed to serve. As far as anyone can tell, he is independent, and can’t be bought in order to sell a specific product. Pennzoil is literally number two, among many great tools. Dollar for dollar, there is quite literally nothing that beats Pennzoil. I will be running Amsoil in the future, but if you’re on a budget, but want to extend the life of your vehicle, you could literally only choose one better oil out there. And it’s a close one and two. I used to run Mobil 1 and Royal purple in my vehicles, but it will now either be Pennzoil or Amsoil. Anyone claiming anything else is either lying, too close-minded, or isn’t willing to prove Project Farm otherwise. Toyota 4Runner over 250k miles, now sister-in-laws. Toyota Prius over 180k miles. Toyota Sequoia over 150k miles. Sold Toyota Tundra 200k miles. Not one ever had an engine overhaul, or anything more than standard breaks, tires, oils/fluid changes, and other general maintenance. I’m no mechanic, but I know not to skimp on doing things right on my vehicle. So own a Toyota, and do only Pennzoil or Amsoil oil changes. This is the advice I will give to my boys, so I don’t write this lightly. If Penzoil or Amsoil reduces their quality control in the future, I will gladly write how they are garbage. ... show more
