We are heading to an island so needless to say will be surrounded by water. I researched available options and found 2 that are marine grade and sized for my newer iPhone 15. Pelican has great reviews and because this was an older version it was reduced in price which I appreciate. This claims to be both waterproof and floats! This pouch is slightly padded with clear plastic to cover screen and camera lens. It opens and shuts easily allowing quick access and seals up nicely when closed. My iPhone fits snugly in this 7" pouch with it's case and screen protector on. It has a lanyard to secure it when carrying. I have full access to the touch screen, camera, and on and off buttons. You do have to press harder through the plastic but it is still very functional. Face recognition does not work but I can use my passcode. I have taken pictures which turned out great so I'm am very pleased and believe it will protect my phone should it fall in the water. This is an olive green. I prefer subdued colors and this one was reduced in price. ... show more

I bought this to take white water rafting on my trip to Costa Rica. I was very happy with my purchase. It floats so I didn't worry about losing my phone in the river. It stayed nicely tucked under my life jacket on the boat and through the rapids and the lanyard held up. I was able to take pics easily through the case. Only cons I have: it's hard to take a selfie with the case on the lanyard around your neck...the phone is to close to your face and you can't get any background without taking it off. It was very humid where I was so that did cause a little bit of a film sometimes on the case which distorted my pics but I think any case would do that. This is an excellent water proof case: -much better quality than the cheaper ones (which we also bought) -this one FLOATS if you accidentally drop your phone in the water -the plastic does not significantly distort the image quality, in or out of the water BUT... It's a bit too small for my google pixel 8 pro. It's not fit for the larger/newer gen of phones. The side/top padding, which is nice and thick, does block the front facing "selfie" camera. So all photos had to be from the back cameras. Neutral: Touch screen sensitivity is reduced (to be expected), and doesn't work at all under (sea) water. I think that has to do with the conductivity of the salt water, not the pouch itself. So taking pictures required raising the camera out of the water, starting a pic on a timer, and then going underwater to let the pic capture. This prevents spontaneous underwater pics. Not sure if any other waterproof pouch would do better though... ... show more

I bought the four pack of these for a family trip. They were perfect for our needs. We used them while playing in the waves at the beach, on a kayak trip to see a bioluminescent bay and on a rainforest hike. They were completely waterproof and took good pictures even when fully submerged. The face recognition doesn’t work inside the pouch and it was sometimes hard to make our swipes work on the touch screen but those are very small inconveniences compared to the successes of the product. One of my kids and I both went down a rock water slide - very fast water and then being completely submerged and swimming to the side after. My kid accidentally went down on their belly and realized when they came up that the case had pulled off the strap (not broken - clearly the system is designed to separate rather than strangling you - well done!) They panicked a bit but then, just a bit later, we discovered that the phone in the floating case had gone down two more waterfalls and was floating in the pool below where the rest of our group was swimming! We reattached it to the neck strap and continued on with the rest of our trip. I will be recommending these to anyone we know who is traveling to watery destinations! And these will be a constant companion any time we are going somewhere we’ll be hiking near water or swimming. THANK you for a great product! ... show more

I purchased these for their quality and floatability for paddle boarding. They are very nice and have a quality seal. The only things I would change would be for the lanyard to have an optional lengthening option because it’s a bit short and it’s a little difficult to find the power button through the case to turn the phone back off. I brought these on a snorkeling trip. Glad to say, they held up well and the phones did not get wet! They are easy to use and come with a lanyard. One thing I didn't realize before purchasing is that you can take pictures/videos on your phone through the clear part of the pouch.

The pouch appears sturdy and easily fit my iPhone and then tested my husband’s huge iPhone. They each fit easily, separately. It was easy to open and close the phone inside.
