Hi! We're Peepers! A 4th generation family run company that is continuously reinventing the spectacle. Since 1993 we have been designing wear-everywhere eyewear that is meant to be loved for the long-term. We have come a long way from our start as an importer and distributor of scissors, shears, and fine cutlery. Sammann Company Inc. was first established in 1908 and founded the Peepers Brand in 1993 when Mrs. Sammann, a.k.a. Mz. Peepers recognized a need for fashionable readers and began designing the fun looks that started Peepers. Today that same passion has carried on as we continue to create stylish, optical quality reading and sunglasses. Investing in generations to come is important to us. We hope to continue to make an impact by giving back to our communities through local volunteer work and community outreach initiatives like our Peepers for Teachers Program. We see the beauty and importance in natural, sustainable materials and challenge ourselves to integrate them into our collections each season. We are also proud to utilize solar power as our main source of energy at our headquarters. Our company began with a quest to find upbeat eyewear, and that light-hearted spirit is embedded in everything we do.

These are my favorite readers! First, I love the brand Peepers and have worn several other designs/models. They are sturdy. They do not fall apart. They offer just enough "weightedness" for me that they feel substantial without being heavy. I am super sensitive and as such I am very picky about what I will wear. For instance, I cannot tolerate the feel of a rub knit or waffle weave fabric against my skin. Similarly, for glasses, the way the stems sit on my ears and the way the glasses sit on my nose are very important. And this brand of glasses have worked well for me for 10 years running. This model in particular, I like because a) the frame is clear and b) the lenses have some bluelight blocking. As a life coach, I spend a lot of time meeting clients via videoconference so these are perfect for that. The bluelight blocking feature helped reduce eye strain and headaches. And the clear frames mean that my client can still have a clear view of my face and my eyes which is very important for me to maintain a vibrant human connection with my clients. Many clients have even noticed and said that they like how my glasses do not distract them. The only drawback to Peepers glasses is that they are not scratch proof. They seem to be scratch-resistant, but, in due time scratches have appeared. However, the low price on these makes it justifiable to buy a new pair once a year. ... show more

These reading glasses are lightweight and comfortable for extended wear, which makes them easy to use throughout the day. The frames feel simple but sturdy enough for regular handling, and they sit well without pinching behind the ears or on the nose. Bonus: They look great! The blue light blocking feature is a nice bonus, especially for screen time. While it’s not a dramatic difference, I do notice reduced eye strain when using them for reading or working on a computer for longer periods. I have loved the products from this company for many years, and have grown to trust them. However, yesterday Peepers sent me glasses with broken hinges on both sides. Their quality control must have really gone downhill for them to send out a product in this shape.

I needed to adjust theses. The polycarbonate plastic goes from stiff to limp very quickly unlike Rx frames. A little tricky to get them comfortable without being distorted. Good value for the price

The Clark readers are exactly what I wanted, they are lightweight, and the grey tortoise style goes with so much in my wardrobe (grey tortoise is the new black LOL) and this mid size frame is perfect for my face, not so large that it takes over.
