It's been about 40 years since I've hung any wallpaper and the last time was with a 'textured' paper without any pattern which is much easier to do. On the other hand, that time was before the wide availability of self-adhesive papers so I had to apply paste to each sheet which is a 'pain.' I like this product for multiple reasons. The aforementioned self adhesive backing backing is one. The pattern is nice. The vinyl material should be easy to clean and is fairly tough (although it did tear a couple of times when I had cut openings for outlets or light switches). The paper backing has a grid pattern which repeats on 50 cm intervals. I mistakenly believed this was also the interval for the pattern. It's not. The CXY pattern actually repeats on a 17.5 in interval so don't try precutting with this mistaken assumption (I did and wasted some paper). I happen to be applying the paper to the backsplash area between my kitchen counters and the upper cabinets. Since the distance is 13.5 in, I had to waste more paper to keep the patterns aligned (about 25%) than would be necessary if you were applying the paper to a full ceiling-to-floor walls but I still think the value on this aper makes it a good option. ... show more

This came with a small smoothing tool and a razor tucked inside the roll. The back of the paper has a grid which makes it so much easier to cut and measure. It feels somewhat intentional that you cant line up the pattern on these effectively without ordering multiple rolls. The pattern also seems to drift off the alignment of the sheet itself in some cases but we were able to get enough to work on one tiny accent wall that does now look great.
