Features

  • DARE TO ENTER THE MAZE: Gnomes at Night is a cooperative search-and-find maze game where players work as a team to maneuver the magnetic gnome movers around the maze. Work together in this quick-thinking communication game where every second counts!
  • CALLING IN THE GNOMES: Twelve of the Queen's most priced treasures have been stolen! The thief was last seen running through the castle's stone maze, dropping objects in his haste to get away. It's up to the Gnomes to find the treasures and return them to the Queen before morning. Can you help?
  • THE MAZES: The maze paths are different on each side of the board. You may move your mover only along the paths on your side of the board. You cannot move your mover through a wall in the maze, but the player on the other side of the board CAN move your mover through walls. That's how you can help each other reach a treasure!
  • TOYS THAT TEACH: Gnomes at Night is a great way to develop effective communication skills. Players race to identify the treasure as shown on the card to determine which side of the board that treasure is located on. Players work together maneuvering through the maze, sometimes you will be able to move easily toward the treasure, sometimes you will need to back track. Using descriptive language like left, right, up and down will help your teammate better assist you in collecting that treasure.
  • INCLUDES: 4 game boards (levels A thru D), 12 treasure cards, 2 game board holders, 2 team cards, 2 magnetic gnome movers, 4 corner-start cards, 1 sand timer and instructions.

  • Fun and challenging
This is a good communication and cooperation game. All the parts are very sturdy and ment to be played and played and played with. The two magnetic characters are cute (the magnets are strong and don't fall off the board when playing. Skill is progressively more difficult, the last card is challenging. ... show more

  • Lots of game-play diversity
Great game to practice problem solving and communication. I made a compass on paper to help my kid use directions to communicate even more clearly. Love how many possible combinations on game-play there are!

  • Great game that teaches cooperation!
It's a freakin' miracle! This game got two constantly squabbling siblings to be quiet, listen to their sibling, and COOPERATE with each other. This game is a life saver for any parent or grandparents who is desperate for some quiet time. I highly recommend. This one is staying at Grammy's house and will be at the ready for every grandchild visit. ... show more

  • Great cooperative game.
I purchased this game to use with children who I see in private practice as a mental health therapist. It is a great way to teach teamwork, collaboration, and communication.

  • Sounds like a fun cooperative learning game
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my six-year-old grandson. It sounds like this could be a fun way for him to learn to work cooperatively with others.

  • My 4-Year Olds Favorite Game
Peaceable Kingdom games are amazing for teaching little ones important skills like taking turns and working together. We've been playing various ones since my kiddo was 2. She's 4 going on 5 now, and we just stumbled upon Gnomes at Night - and we both absolutely love it. Momma has gotten tired of games like Pretty Pretty Princess. Gnomes at Night takes a lot more thinking and strategy, so I personally want to play with her more often, because the gameplay isn't as tedious as some of her other favorites at this age. And she loves it too. It's fantastic to watch her figure out how to communicate with me, and she loves any excuse to use the hour-glass style timer. I've been impressed to find that her 4-year old cousin, who really doesn't have any game playing experience was also able and excited to play a game with her. I think the 6 and up age-range on the box is a bit of an exaggeration, this game is definitely suitable for younger kids (especially since there isn't really any reading required). ... show more

  • Great for kids and as a family game
My 6 and 9yo love playing this game. You can play with 2 players or 4 players. It’s fun to listen to them learn how to give better directions.
