Wore this for a couple of beach trips this year so I wouldn't worry about losing my expensive set. I normally get a bumpy rash from cheap jewelry but I didn't get anything with this ring. The finish on the stone and the band held up really well to chlorine and sand, however the outside of the band underneath did lose the gold finish and was just silver by the time the second beach week was over.
