This tire holder can accommodate 4, 5, and 6-lug wheels with bolt patterns of 4'', 4.5'', 4.75'', 5'', and 5.5''. Its versatility also extends to being a good choice for boat trailers, campers, and RVs, making it a must-have accessory for various vehicle types.
  • 150 LBS High-Load Capacity: Constructed with a robust welded structure and a sturdy rectangular back plate, this spare tire carrier has a heavy - duty load - bearing capacity of up to 150 lbs. The angled and raised mount design further enhances its stability and strength, ensuring that your spare tire stays securely in place even during long-distance travel.

  • Well built, easy install.
Fits OK, does not carry the spare too high - this may be good or bad depending on the application. Make sure you have enough clearance. It also does not carry the spare too far away from the bumper, which will help in reducing the stress, the twisting that can occur. My bumper had a sheet of diamond plate for appearance, so I had to get longer bolts at the hardware store. Still a simple installation. Should fit a plain 4" bumper just fine. Powder coating seems good, and is construction is plenty strong. Worth the price. ... show more

  • Good mount
The mountain seems to be made well. I only wish they would send actual lug nuts with it since the bolts to hold the tire are not a standard size, the are 12x1.75.

  • Good for enclosed cargo trailer
I got a new enclosed cargo trailer, and this worked well for mounting a spare inside to the plywood walls. I ditched the back plate and just used lag bolts for the mount to wall. Its nothing fancy, but at this great price Its worth it and keeps my spare tire in place and out of the way.

  • It’s ok for the price.
The media could not be loaded. I was impressed with the sturdiness of the design and thickness of the steel. How ever it lacks in one area, the mounting of the actual tire. The paper instructions differ from the images in the Amazon description. The paper instructions show the lug bolts attached with single nut to the mount and nylon locking nut on the wheel. The images here show doubling up on the outside of the wheel. If you do as the Amazon add suggest then the lugs are just hanging in the mount and if you are amounting a full size spare you will tend to knock them out when picking a heavy wheel and tire up to put on the studs, unless you have a second person to hold lugs in place. And that’s assuming you can reach both sides of the mount. The paper instructions show putting the single nut on, but the thickness of the steel doesn’t account for the thickness of the lag head on the stud. (See video) so the nut can’t draw up tight and leaves the spare loose and flopping around that will eventually where out the plate or bolts and sit will break. Solution: Find some oversized washers to put on over the exposed lag head that protrudes through the steel plate. Although you shouldn’t have to do this buying a new item out of the box, it’s necessary in this case. The company should rethink the design in this aspect. ... show more
