They need to protect the stick screws from poking through the carrying case. I was going to exchange it, but until they change the case material or cover for the stick screws, it's going to happen. I wanted to use it and the return isn't to an Amazon drop off

This is great for the price that I got it for. The only thing is that the tip that comes on it is more like a break tip. It works a lot better for me as a break cue than a regular playing cue

I've only had this for a month, but have used it several times. I'm an intermediate player, and I bought this because the place I play always had lousy cue sticks. So far I really like it and using my own cue has enabled me to play a better game because I am always used to this one stick. The only reason this was not rated 5 is due to the case. It has a worn hole on the inside where the cue screw goes. I put a piece of upholstery tape on the inside to keep the screw from wearing/poking through the outside layer of the fabric.
