These glow sticks were very bright! I did a glow in the dark bath time and the kids LOVED it! It did last a good amount of time, lasted from the bath time at night until the next day. Of course, it isn't as bright but there's still a slight glow. The size of it was a good size, not to big, not to small. It's great if you had a glow in the dark party!

These were used for various activities and lasted from dark/evening into the next morning. Most notably, we gave them out in party favor bags for families to use for Trick or Treating since my daughter's party was about 2 weeks before Halloween. We used these on Halloween as well. Like the built in safety factor that the glow sticks added - the colors were bright enough for what we needed. I just found that the colors were not as distinct/vivid as the photo shows.

I love the variety of colors here. I see tons of reviews with people complaining about the lack of color selection, but they're people that don't understand chemical reactions, I guess, because many of the glow sticks look different before they are cracked. Once they're cracked, the chemicals react and they glow in the color they really are. Sure, it looks like white, red, yellow, and orange when they're not cracked. However, I can confirm that, after purchasing both the small and large pack of these, they DO indeed have a great selection of 7 colors. The magenta and red look very similar before they are cracked, but there are both colors in the box. My blue doesn't look very bright in the picture because it was cracked hours before the others but it is nice and bright when it first starts. I would highly recommend these glow sticks. (The seller image for these glow sticks shows 8 colors; I don't remember if there is a darker and lighter "pinkish" color or not. We just opened the new box and I decided to do this review, but there are definitely at least 7 colors but I didn't want to crack a bunch of the red-colored ones to potentially find or not find another shade.)

They really do work as advertised. They say they glow for 12 hours, but the one I tried still glowed (dimly) after 24 hours. A safe, handy and very useful tool for camping, hiking, just walking at night so someone can see you and if you car break's down. Also, no fire risk. A good size. They are also inexpensive. A good deal, I made a second purchase.
