Description

Produced by the Asaro Brothers Company in Partanna, Sicily, this oil is a first cold-pressed, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but it is also an early harvest (October), single-olive varietal (Nocellara del Belice), unfiltered oil. When the tins are first opened, the oil is cloudy with a green hue, herbaceous aroma and 'pizzicante' flavor. (Pizzicante is an Italian phrase that describes the strong flavor that grips the back of your throat and is characteristic of most Tuscan olive oils.) As the oil ages it will mellow slightly and become clearer as the sediment drops to the bottom of the tin. The colorful packaging is beautiful enough to leave on your counter top and makes a terrific gift!

Very good taste for all sorts of cooking and salad dressings. Like I said above it has become quite priced used to be about $37-$40 for the 101 oz can now more like mid $50's.

Great-tasting olive oil! A pleasure to cook with this olive oil. I dropped one of the cans and no leaks. We go through one liter/quart of olive oil in just under 2 weeks. This is the perfect size for us.

IMO, it is one of the best EVOO Italy produces. But, I am biased towards Sicilian olive oil. It has great flavor......I use it for everything where oil is needed, It is also great for dipping, with fresh French or Italian bread. Add some cheese and olives , and it is heaven sent.

Great extra virgin oil quality and wonderful taste. Much better taste than Costco with no bitter aftertaste. I not only use it for salad but put it on veggies, potato's and many other things.
