Description

The Paranormal Rascal Bass HH rewrites the playbook of electric bass design with a greatest-hits-list of features from several eccentric 1960s-era Fender bass models. Combining the offset body shape of the Fender Bass VI model, the unique headstock shape from the Fender Coronado Bass, the string-through-body bridge from the Mustang Bass, and punchy dual Fender-Designed Wide Range humbucking bass pickups (HH) with 3-way switching, this model amounts to something truly greater than the sum of its parts. Other player-friendly details of this model include a short and easy-to-play 30" scale length, a slim and comfortable "C"-shape neck profile, and a gloss neck finish for a slick yet confident feel.

  • Very nice bass
Love it. You can check out some of the you tube review vids to see. Buying thru Amazon is the same as buying thru a big chain music store.

  • Mail order gift
Had to purchase twice as this was a gift for my granddaughter. First unit arrived damaged in shipping and was delivered that way. Second unit the shipping box was damaged but the unit was fine. Amazon C/S was fantastic in getting this corrected. What a cool sounding bass and that look and color made a special gift for a up and rising talent. ... show more

  • It kinda works, but the tone is dark and it weighs a lot, and the bridge is TOO far forward
The pickups are cool and I like having a shorty in my arsenal. However, the sound is very dark and murky, which I think is due to the pots being only 250K. Swapping pots isn't that difficult, but who really wants to fix a brand new instrument? Also, the substantial weight is badly distributed, so it's less enjoyable to sit down with than the rest of my basses. The intonation at the 12th fret was off by half a semitone at first, which is exceptionally bad. I adjusted the saddle positions by a huge amount, and I would have adjusted the E saddle even more, but I actually ran out of room, which is a first for me. Considering where the frets are positioned, the bridge should be at least an inch farther back. It's got novelty value, and that's worth something, but they definitely could have made it better. ... show more

  • Wow!
This bass has insane character for something that is considered a “budget” instrument. If you are chasing a vintage tone then this is what you want. This bass sounds better than a lot of the stuff I’ve tried out that were priced at double or more. Setup out of the box was fine. No adjustments needed. And the sherwood green finish is absolutely gorgeous. This is an extremely comfortable bass to play. I would highly recommend this as a first bass. And it sounds so good that I don’t think an upgrade would ever be needed. All for under $500.00 ... show more

  • Fabulous Squier Guitar
It is one of the sweetest, best high-quality Squier guitars I have seen. And the price was just too good to pass up. Thank you so much. I am very, very happy with this guitar. It’s the perfect platform to build my ideal bass. 🐝

  • One Bad MammerJammer
Great Fit and Finish , Squier really did these right . Its a BIG bass larger then my pbass but at 9lbs it feels right playing with a strap. Great Vintage style sounding pickups with lots of lowend growl . Highly recommend for any player looking for something different with lots of mojo.
