Very pretty cards. Top quality. I’ve always been partial to Papyrus cards, but it’s hard to find a boxed set that doesn’t have red envelopes. Sometimes the post office can’t read the writing on red envelopes, so I try not to buy them. I recommend these cards.

I wish I could make this a 10 star review! Do yourself a favor and but these cards! They are even prettier in person than the photo online shows. Received them in 2 days. And did I mention how pretty they are? I've always liked Papyrus' cards, but these are exceptional. Sturdy, beautiful shading, and ornaments on the tree are so sparkly. I am a diehard Papyrus fan and have been buying only their cards and wrapping paper for over 20 years. When I lived in the Pacific Northwest I loved going into their store in Portland, Oregon and spending an hour or two looking at (and buying) their many cards for different occasions and wandering down their aisles of gifts and specialty papers (eg., mulberry paper) I’d use to cover and decorate journals for others. Their cards are so beautiful with meaningful sayings that I had five of them matted and framed for my office. But this year I had a really difficult time finding the right Christmas cards and wrapping paper and settled for less than I wanted at a more expensive price. I admit that I am a lover of gold foil, metallics and glitter. M y all time favorite Christmas cards are the ones with the leaping deer surrounded by a ‘burst’ of greenery, red berries and bright gold glitter swirls as shown on the right side in the third picture with two different Christmas cards. It was packaged in a sturdy attractive box with a thick see through plastic cover. Each card being separated by a thin piece of foam wrapping to protect the glitter from spreading. This year (2024) I finally settled on the Christmas tree with the moon and gold star tree topper. I was so surprised, shocked really at the cheap packaging which is a clear departure from their sturdy and attractive boxes and the cards themselves are a big disappointment. Ok, so I like bling on my cards and chose these for the gold foil outlined moon and stars which I imagined would look better in real life. But I was wrong. I find them rather dull and flat. And they are housed in a cheap thin red box with no protective cover like they usually have. The ‘box’ was smashed but the cards were ok. All in all as I’ve probably made clear already, I’m so disappointed and surprised. I love their cards so much that I have a small drawer full of boxed Papyrus cards for different occasions or blank. But for the first time, I am returning these cheap looking Christmas cards. Their quality like most everything else these days has sadly greatly diminished. If you’re still looking for Christmas cards, check out the leaping reindeer ones! They’re still available and so beautiful. But beware the gold glitter. If you’re not a glitter person, look elsewhere. Happy holidays to you all. ... show more
