I bought this for my kitten (1 yr) because he still chose the couch instead of all the posts. The description said the cats don't like the stickiness of it. I will say my cat noticed the stickers right away .. I'm not sure if there is a certain smell to them but he immediately noticed it and he likes to bite and try to eat the stickers, although he is a kitten and gets into everything. They are very sticky. When he rubs up against the couch, hair sticks to it. All in all, I do think it was a good purchase because my cat has yet to try to claw at my couch since applying these adhesives. Also, the directions say you can cut in any shape, which is not true. You can only cut in half. There is a peel tab on both ends. The first time I cut in thirds and the middle did not have a peel portion. I could not get the backing off to apply it correctly. So I had high hopes for this. I recently adopted 2 rescue kittens and one of them just loves to claw the furniture. I wanted to train him not to do it as opposed to covering the furniture with the plastic pieces that just protect it. Well. He just would scratch right on top of this. Literally didn't even phase him. And if that wasn't a failure enough, he started pulling it off with his teeth and ripping it apart. So yeah. This did not work for me. I got this and a roll of tape for smaller areas. Since putting it on our couch/chairs we have not had one incident of scratching. Only minor annoyance is your leg or a blanket will get stuck every once in a while, but it's worth it for protecting the furniture. Well worth the $.

I bought these because my cat has taken to scratching up the new couch. They’re really easy to put on the couch and do the job really well—my cat hates the sticky feeling so he hasn’t been scratching. It also comes with a cute little sticker so that’s a plus! My only issue is my couch is so big I couldn’t cover it all with just 1 pack, but that’s not really an issue with the product itself. I bought another and applied just fine. Small pet peeve is that the white tab you use to hold while peeling back the tape is basically impossible to remove from the tape itself, so it leaves a small corner where the tape doesn’t stick as good, but it still does the job. ... show more
