ok.....so my hopes were already dashed to pieces for the last couple of years because my previous slippers were washed by an enthusiastic laundress in my awful washer (another horrible story for another time that involves 19 repair calls for the brand new washer)....and trying to find a new pair of slippers has been awful....full of returns and exhaustion. I would by a pair of slippers that looked like they would fit the bill....then once I received them could not wait to get them off of my foot -- they would drive me crazy and that would be for the 30 seconds I would wear them. RETURN Then I would find something in person (back in the day when you would be able to shop in person without worrying) and think...."ok...they lasted longer than 30 seconds....I think I may have found success" -- only to get them home, wear them for less than 30 minutes and my feet would be drenched -- the weirdest thing -- and a bit gross. RETURN So I was already prepared to be disappointed.....but the bar was still quite high....because I have memories!!!!! Then, I saw these and thought "wait a second.....I might be on to something here”....I even showed my Mom (also a slipper connoisseur - she is where I learned it :) ). We thought...."Do we dare hope? They look like what we’ve been wanting.... No.., it seems too good to be true.” We were more than tired of being disappointed. Just warm, dry, easy ... that’s all — they are just to wear around the house (although during the pandemic we are are home so much more). She had been searching (notice the past tense? 😊) for new slippers even longer than I have....trust me....we have gone through several tries. And that was before I decided we should return the ones that were awful. We are so easy to please ——just the slippers seemed to elude us. We have looked at all price points. The struggle is real. We thought we would take a chance. We did it. Oh my goodness, they are still on my feet as I type this! They are wonderful! I normally wear a 9 wide (well, after chemo it is a 9.5 but 10’s feel even better (my feet are still changing if after chemo) but my feet hurt so much from the chemo induced neuropathy I bought an 11 for myself (my feet hurt so bad that I can't wear shoes right now...in fact I have been wearing extra large sandals for the last year because even wearing a loose sock hurts my feet). My Mom wears an 8.5 - 9 (she has extra wide feet — not just wide— but extra wide— so I bought her size 10 -- they fit perfect.) Not only do they fit good....they are easy to put on....you don't even have to reach down to do put them on! You can actually step into them easily when the cuff is rolled down! (Note, the first time I put them on, I used a shoe horn because I was willing to battle it like I’ve had to testing other slippers......it was really funny because I didn't need it! And the second time I put them on I knew that I would be just fine stepping into them. You can roll the cuff down --- this is great to help me stay a tiny bit cooler with a chemo hot flash -- or roll them up and keep your ankles warm. I thought I wouldn’t be able to wear them through the unending burning sensation! I am so thankful!!! The memory foam is firmer than I thought it would be -- so it is perfect -- I hate "walking on a pillow feeling". I need to know where the floor is. they are comfortable, breathable, they do not smell at all (ordered the black and the chestnut — I thought maybe the dye would smell after reading the review — but neither smell at all — I think making sure your feet are always clean before putting them on is a help), they are warm, and my feet do not sweat in them -- They are my new slippers. I liked them so much that I turned around and bought 3 extra pairs each for my Mom and myself. As my Mom has sweaty feet sometimes, I thought it would be nice to have a pair that you wear one day while the other dries out....and alternate back and forth. So far, I have been too lazy to put on the other pair.....they do any drying that they need to do overnight (not that they need to -- it just really works great) - but I agree with the other review — it would be nice to have a removable foot bed. I’ve had these for several weeks, wearing them constantly— I’m not usually a review poster, but I just had to say something this time. If you don’t want them, get them for your Mom or sister. If you want slippers that have no back to them — go to Costco and get the shearling slippers. We like these 1000% (one thousand, complete) better — but I thought I would share what got me by for a couple of years but still left me hunting. Seriously, these slippers are awesome. I almost didn’t want to say how good they were because I didn’t want a sell out.

Last year purchased Australian (not Ugg) all-sheepskin booties for about the same price, which had what I was looking for - sturdiness with a good thickness of sole and upper, genuine wool/sheepskin, comfortable sole, well made. Unfortunately this year that slipper is not available this year on Amazon - not unexpectedly with increases in shipping costs. Although this slipper has a lining that is 60% lambswool, as stated, I've found them to be cozy, comfortable, and well made. I wear a 6.5 and the size 7 is fine on me. I don't wear booties with socks unless it is truly freezing. If I really wanted to wear heavy socks with these all the time, I would go up a size, but with any sheepskin booties at most I've found a thin wool sock to be enough. With my wedge shaped foot (wide across the toes, with a high arch) I've often poked a toe through shoes, so it was important for me to have suede that was not thin. I'm also rough on my clothes, so I don't have time for dainty fabrications - plus, with a high arch I need comfort padding. These slippers seem to be well constructed enough, I bought a second pair as a spare or in case this slipper becomes not available like my other favorite. I did drop water on them and they will stain, so if that is a concern I would use a suede protector (I don't wear these to go out, tho, except to get the mail etc.) Prices are high enough for real leather shoes - way back I bought all-sheepskin booties at Costco for 30$ - so hopefully I will be good with these slippers for the next few winters. Happily as well these ship fast, just when the temperature dropped and I needed to switch out the Crocs I bang around in, to something warm and cozy. IMO a good choice in this slipper/bootie style without a ridiculous price tag.

Great looking booties. They have thick natural fur, good sole and they are attractive on your feet. They also have good workmanship quality. In my opinion, the quality of these boots, is better than Uggs. Just a caution about the bootie's sizes: my reg. size is 7-7.5 (European 38). I ordered size 7 in Pamir booties as the size 8, is big for me in all other brands. Also, size 7 in Uggs fit me very well. These boots are smaller than Uggs and I was considering returning them. However, after wearing them for 30 minutes, they stretched enough to keep them. It would be great, if this seller will offer size 7.5. Thank you.

they were tight in the toe area so I think they run small. I would have bought a bigger size but my heel was slipping up when I walked in them so I think a larger size would only be worse.

I could not WAIT to leave a review!!! I am so IN LOVE with these slipper/shoe-boots, I am GIDDY!!! I had been looking for this look for a while, and could never find exactly what I wanted until I came across these! I like that they have a back, and they are indoor/outdoor. I liked the fur going across the top, the hook in the back, the 'split' line on the top of the shoe, the whole nine!!! But when I got them, I was delighted that they were made exceptionally well, they are firm and sturdy and chocked FULL of lambskin on the inside! They were packed excellently and shipped quick! I am definitely going to spray them with suede protector. Also wanted to say that I normally wear 7 to 7.5. I got these in the 8 and they fit PERFECT!!! I don't usually wear socks with these, but I would have room to if I wanted. You see I got the black and tan because I couldn't decide, and said 'what the heck, go for it' and got both! I'm so happy with this purchase!
