I'd buy this by the barrel if I could. It is wonderful for very dry cracked feet - old skin like my 60 year old skin, great for babies - it's my go-to body and face butter. I actually use high end facial skin care products however, because it is so expensive, I will often use this on my face instead to stretch out the times I have to buy the entire set of skin care. In addition, this particular Palmer's formula is one of the few on the market that doesn't sting my eyes. To me it smells like a chocolate bar so what's not to love? If you don't like some type of residue on your skin after using, this isn't for you. I like that feeling so it's fine by me. Sometimes though I don't want to get it on my clothing so I just use a tissue or hand towel to wipe off the residue. Love, love love this and will always buy many so I can travel with it, and have them throughout the house. ... show more

I hope I can impress upon all of you how I feel about this company. I wrote a review a few days ago. I'd received a new jar of Plamer's lotion and it was horrible. Grainy and runny. Nothing like it's supposed to be and what I've been using for many years. So I wrote a negative review about this product. Fast forward: I opened a delivery today. I'd ordered a puzzle. Inside the box there was a brand new Palmer's Cocoa Butter! How in the world had they read my review and sent me a new jar of lotion I'll not know. But they sent one to me and I am delighted. Spouse had to have her knee cap wired together. They used 6" of staples to close the incision. Looked wicked. Other people shared their surgery scars, and even the "20 years ago" example looked like a monster. A couple of weeks after the surgery, both her D.C. and the P.T. recommended Palmer's. (Note that neither the Orthopedist nor his nurses recommended anything!) Watching her incision heal over the next several month while she applied Palmer's was dramatic. Relative to her friends, Palmer's made at least a 50% improvement, probably more like 75% improvement. Now if the closure had been done by skilled professionals interested in minimizing scar damage, (instead being delegated to the rushed surgery nurse after the ortho guy moved to the next patient), her skin would look almost perfect! ... show more

I love this stuff! I first got a jar of it down at the discount store, but then after using it up (which took a looooong time!), I started a search for more. Finally, I just ordered it here on Amazon for just a tad over the discount store price (and with Amazon Prime- free shipping!). See to me,lotions are too sloppy and messy. This stuff moisturizes the back of my hands really well without dripping or making a mess. And, it smells like chocolate, which is always nice (unless you're on a diet, I suppose). Now yes, it's only "Made from pure cocoa butter" but having tried the pure stuff I found it difficult to soften and very pricey- and it didn't seem to work any better. ... show more
