Pros: It looks cute and works good. You can plug it in or use batteries. Child loves it. Cons: The plastic on the shade can break easy and sun will make it fade. Don’t let child play with it and don’t leave it in direct sunlight and it should last .

I bought the lamp as a gift for my autistic son, who is a HUGE Mario fan! He was thrilled. The lamp runs on batteries or a USB, and I was a little surprised to find that the USB was not included with the lamp. This is very low quality lamp seems very brittle and anticipate breaking or tearing soon. the USB port did not work and I had to run it silt on the batteries. I kept it just because I needed it for my child’s themed room

However if you have realistic expectations and have purchased paladone products before you will be happy. - pros: Works off either batteries or corded power Looks great for a game room or nintendo themed room You may either love the 3 settings of dimness (not brightness) the lamp emits. -cons (if applicable to you) You may not like that this isn't a bright lamp. If you are buying this thinking it will light a room you will be disappointed. For me I'm glad its not because I use this in my game room where I don't want a lot of light emitted. *the build quality is very poor and the shade can break easily.
