Easy to use. It did what it needs to do. It stretched my Doc Martens. My width is a wide and Doc Martens are not. I'm now wearing it comfortably. But the stretcher had some help. I sprayed it with a shoe stretcher to soften the leather and then used the stretcher. The quality is good and the price is worth it because I can now stretch my other shoes instead of paying my shoe repair guy $18.00 per pair to stretch my shoes.

This product did exactly what it says it does. You have to allow the process of stretching to take place 24-48 hours or more. The product is study and well made. The handles get increasingly more difficult to turn as you are stretching out the shoe making It seem difficult to use; however if you follow the instructions you will get the results you want. I’d recommend this product for the quality, value and because it does what it’s supposed to do.

They got through 3 pairs of shoe stretching. One of them broke after the second pair and the second one broke after the third pair. It's not horrible but I expected better because everyone was saying not to get the plastic ones. I won't be repurchasing.

First off, I wear extra wide shoes and this doesn’t expand as much as I really needed. As others have stated, some parts are not very substantial such as the washer used. I would also like to have had more options of where to place the plastic pressure point bunion pieces as well as maybe more of, or different sizes. I made modifications to mine as another user did. I built up a fiberglass overlay that was closer to my foot size and fit nicely over the wooden shoe tree. Held those on with some metal pins then drilled new holes to better match where I needed the bunion plugs. I also disassembled the length adjuster so I could put a thick washer on then threaded the end to put a nut on to keep spreader from falling off when retracting it. Now this works much better for my needs. If you have a standard width shoe, this probably would work pretty good. The washer is probably the weakest point. Why they used this flimsy thin washer I don’t know. Couldn’t have been much of a cost saving factor but it’s not going to stand up to much pressure regardless. You could always just drill some new holes for the bunion plugs if needed. This truly does stretch out my new shoes and cuts down on the lengthy, painful break in period. Highly recommend.
