Last thing I want to do is slice a toe on a clear at a dock or step on a shard of glass in the sand from someone’s Coors from Spring Break ‘87. While these aren’t aramid fiber or Kevlar reinforced footbeds, for the price these offer rudimentary protection for your tootsies and won’t float away like flip flops or slides do (trust me, if you’re scurrying across a dock or jumping off a jet ski in the surf, either of those things will divorce you faster than a Kardashian). There’s a whole mess of colors available - and be real, they are a bit of a mess when you get anything but all black. These won’t coordinate with your fancy yoga pants and jogger suit. Seem to dry out ok. And no lingering lake water smells (yet). Only initial kind of thing to note - when I opened the Amazon package, these smelled like bunker oil for a freighter. Like tar. A very strong odor which caused me to pause and wonder if I should try them out at all. The smell has seemed to subside over the past few weeks of use and airing out but if you have any issues triggered by chemical smells, try a different product.

So this is a really nice water shoe. You could walk several blocks in them cause they have a bit of cushioning. They also feel like they’d stay on in sandy or muddy water, although I have been in those conditions yet. My only caution mirrors what some others have said. They run a bit on the small side. I ordered 8.5 which is what I typically wear. They fit well enough, but they are on the slightly snug side. If you’re borderline, go up a bit. Otherwise, very nice shoe

I use these for my daily exercise in the pool. I walk for 2-4 hours 4-6 days a week. They almost feel like you are going barefoot. I've only had them a couple weeks but they are my favorite (and I have several pairs of water shoes).
