This is my third PacSafe rucksack. I was looking for a small day back for traveling out of country for weeks at a time. (I combine this with a small hard-shell, carry-on trolley that can also fit under airplane seat.) 16L for this rucksack is perfect. One can fit everything one needs in this day-pack with just enough pockets to help organize without being a labyrinth. It also forces one to carry ONLY what is needed. (My other 30L Pacsafe rucksack has so many zipper pockets and nooks and crannies - that I can never find anything without opening all the pockets.) The trolley strap is critical for traveling through airports. And the outer pocket beneath the trolly strap is both safe and handy. I have severely downsized what I carry on - and I must say - this rucksack is perfect for that MO. Highly recommend. ... show more

Update: This has been a perfect daypack for me. Light weight, holds a raincoat and my personal items, water bottle stays put! While it’s too small as a personal item bag it’s perfect as a daypack. As a petite woman I've been on the hunt for the perfect backpack to take traveling. So far I haven't found it. This particular pack is a marketed as a daypack and would work very well for that with a few exceptions. It has very hard to get into zipper security, so much that I have trouble getting them open. So if you are using this as a daypack in a known pick-pocket area you should be good. Loaded up with a tablet, wallet, passport, cellphone, chargers, headphones, one change of clothes, a full water bottle and a few mini neccessities it weights around 7.8 lbs., very managable. Things I don't like: the carrying handle is very small and not padded. There is only 1 RFID pocket, big enough for a passport but thats about it, so no slots for cards or ID. The water bottle holder is too shallow and doesn't fit any size bottle very well, even the ones that are flat on one side. I would be concerned about it falling out for sure. Not such a big deal unless you are traveling with your own. It's shy of being large enough for a personal items bag on a flight. Being petite I prefer to check a bag so I don't have to try to get it in the overhead bin thus try to take advantage of the underseat space for my personal items bag. Took this on my first vacation overseas and it did not disappoint. Very small and perfect for a carry on for your flights. All the zippers have some form of locking mechanism and are very sturdy. Easy to use for you, hard for would be thieves to walk by and open the bag. The inside rfid safe pocket held my wallet. There is a pocket located on the lower back which held my cash and passports. Easy to "one strap" it to use that pocket to grab the needed cash while maintaining control of the bag. When sitting down to eat, there is a strap that had a safety clip with a locking feature to lock it to your chair so someone can walk buy and grab it. Can't recommend enough for those who are looking for security and functionality to help with peace of mind. ... show more

I like the quality of the bag, but it's too small, the straps feel tight on me. would be great for a smaller built person but I felt constricted wearing it so I returned it. I would recommend a 20L or above.

A little hard to operate the locking device but a great size that made it to Africa and back with no problems. It looks great as well as being functional with nice pockets to stash this and that.

I bought this backpack from Amazon on 9/3/2023. Took it for a Europe trip in late Sept 2023. It was fine. Then I took it on a cruise trip in July 2024. When I got the backpack at my state room on the ship, The hook that used to adjust the length of the strap is gone, the seam of part of the zipper was ripped. The items in the backpack included an iPad, the screen was completely shattered (see attached pic) my make up case was ripped and all the bottles that contain my make up were broken. My questions are (1) is the backpack still under warranty (2) if yes, how do I get a replacement and how long will that take? ... show more

Good size for small number of essentials for a day trip or as an addition to carry-on. Some reviews complained about security features been hard to use, and they are somewhat correct. It takes some practice to operate them all. I see that as an advantage as it would make it hard for the thieves to breach them. These the 2 stars on the review. The weak points. Complete lack if internal organization with the exception of a small RF secure pocket. Table pocket is a joke, barely holds an 11" iPad. Front pocket is usefless, as it lack volume and hard to reach even when the zipper is not secured. Bottom line, I got mine on sale for Amazon points so that was a decent deal. If you have time, look around and check other option that can be way more practical and same secure. ... show more
