My wife loves decorating and works in a school. She loves signage for events, special days, and everything else. I bought this as an anniversary present so I could have an anniversary greeting and then she could use it for everything else. I wanted to set this up for my wife without her knowing, so I took a day off work with the plan, to plug it in and then make cool signs for her. I am not IT person or a programmer but I am tech savvy enough that most of my office relies on me for help. This software cannot be helped. I started with the phone app but there are limited instructions. The editing software is terrible. I use a lot of editing software on my phone for other things and this app deserves to be deleted immediately. Once uploading attempts, the screen displays just 4 bright bars. Which I believe indicates some kind of error code. Because of the issues with the app, I tried to operate with the PC. The url for the software produces an error. I have typed this in several times and scanned in with my phone. So there is no laptop software available to me. I spent 4 hours of my day off, trying to produce something impressive with this and could not. Now it is packed up in my truck to go back and I’m playing PlayStation while I wait for a different one to come in the mail, hoping I can get things together in time for our anniversary.

My review on this is going to be what's become something of a common refrain for me when it comes to tech products: the product itself is great but I really don't like the app very much. Let's start with the sign itself. First of all, it's bigger than I expected. That's not to say the size description is incorrect. I just hadn't quite mentally processed how big this thing was going to be. So that's either good or bad depending on your use for it. For me, it's a bit of both. It makes a great sign, but I also have to figure out where to store it when not in use. For people who are planning to set it up and leave it, that should be no problem. And it works well, The LEDs are plenty bright and everything works great and looks great. The only downside, really, is the app. I've long bemoaned the number of products that require installation of a proprietary app to function properly. In this case, I'm not sure how practical it might have been to make the product work with generic applications, so I can forgive the need to have a specific app for it. However, the app's design was clearly not given the same degree of care as the product's own design. It's functional, but you'll have to waste some time figuring out how to make it all work the way you want it to. At the end of the day: five stars for the product, three for the app, averaged to a four star rating.

I bought this product so my child could place it in the window and write messages to her friend who doesn't go to the same school but passes by our house daily. Sometimes, she writes greetings, funny memes, or quotes. The variety of animations makes it even more fun! The app has been easy to use, and the thumb drive includes instructional videos to ensure we know how to use it. It fits perfectly in our long, rectangular window above our large window – it's like it was made to fit! It's a beautiful, large, bright, and sturdy sign.

I run a food truck and though that this sign might be a good idea to display messages to my customers. I underestimated how big it was. Although it's big, it's super easy to use with the app or even the computer app. The thumb drive even has instructional videos to help. The sign is nice and bright and can't be missed. There are several options for animations as well, so you can create just about any message you want. It even accepts emojis and displays them! It's a nice, large, bright, and sturdy sign that would look great in any business.

It was a key part of our event but they do not tell u that A: The usb has irreplaceable software that you must have (its not their for file transfer only) B) The software is not MAC compatible and makes 80's tech look advanced. Why not just require a DEC mainframe.
