I hadn't even realized how bad the old cushions were until a friend pointed it out. Time for new cushions and it was long past time for new cloth! Comparing old to new cushions is like night and day; the old ones were much harder and even starting to crumble in places. I used DAP contact cement to glue them on, then trim them to size. It's worth replacing the end pads while you're doing the job. Also, unless your cloth/felt is in very good shape, it makes a lot more sense to get new cloth while you're replacing the cushions because the rail cloth needs to come off anyway. I'd never done any of this work before but after watching a LOT of youtube videos I was able to tackle it, just taking my time and being careful. If you've got some glue, a T50 staple gun, a stanley knife and some gumption you should be good to go. If you've got any upholstery experience you'll probably find the job trivial. The rails are great. Probably not the highest quality, but well worth the cost. I didn't shop for the best and not sure of the cost difference, however I know it was a lot of work to strip old and replace the new. If the table is worth it and you plan to keep it, do your research. This product was perfect for what I needed.

Picked up a slate table from a friend when he moved, and it has been in rough condition for years (maybe a decade). When I felted it I replaced the bumpers and the table is like new. Couldn't have asked for a more spot on bumper.

Well, it appears I’ve outlived not only my “Lifetime Guaranteed” Gandy cushions but also Gandy itself. The only issue was the work involved in removing the old dead cushions. They had what looked like a super glue behind them and I wound up using a box knife, pry bar, scraper, palm sander and, in some cases, even a chisel, plane and wood filler to remove the cushions and prepare the surface. The project was worth it however. The table was reborn and plays like new!

These came in a reasonable amount of time. Installation isn’t difficult, but it’s time consuming. I used a hacksaw blade to cut off the ends, and I had no problem. Pool table plays like it’s brand new!
