I was honestly expecting these to be terrible given the price, but I am so pleasantly surprised. I know when I purchased I was really skeptical and I want to give other people a good idea of what they are getting. I also thought I would include some tips to get the most out of these for people new to natural hair brushes. First of all, the goat hair brushes are so soft that I actually thought they were synthetic until I washed them. The other natural hair brushes are not as soft, but that is par for the course for natural hair; you sacrifice a degree of softness for incredible blending power. The quality of the hair on all the brushes is excellent. If you use mineral foundation, the powder brush is your dream come true. The synthetic brushes included in the set are also very nice, especially the foundation brush. The eyebrow brush also seems like natural hair, even though it states that it is synthetic. This is great if you use powder in your brows. The only issue I had was that the capped lip liner had a clump of hair get stuck in the cap which got bent out of shape. Washing did not resolve this, so I plucked them out and was fine. I could have returned them for a different set if it really bothered me, but it didn't. The brushes come in a vegan leather wristlet pouch that is far high-quality than most of the ones that you get with such sets. Each brush is individually wrapped in plastic, and the both the blush brush and powder brush have extra shaping/bristle protection. A final note is that the handles are not dark red as in the picture, but more of a burnt red-orange that I personally think is beautiful and actually prefer to the colors shown in the photo. Since you are probably looking at this because it is so cheap, and thinking, "I've always wanted to try natural hair brushes, but they are usually so expensive," here are some things to consider: 1). Yes, they will shed a bit the first time or two you wash them, This is inescapable, and not a sign of bad quality. I actually lost very few hairs, and I expect that the next time I wash them I will lose none. This is a sign of a quality brush. If the brushes continue to shed over time, this is a sign of poor manufacturing - time will tell with these, but I have to say from inspecting them that the hairs are in the ferrules super well, with no glue or lose bristles or any of the other things that usually indicate a cheap brush. I am actually very impressed by the craftsmanship with these; they are on par with other, far more expensive brushes in my collection. I kind of couldn't get over it for like a straight 20 minutes. How did I get so many high-quality brushes for such a cheap price? It seems like it must be money laundering or something, lol. 2). These are bleached goat hair. What this typically means is that you are exchanging additional softness (which in this set is truly incredible; I honestly thought they were fake) for less durability. Bleaching hair is bleaching hair, whether human or goat. It's not great for it. So proper care of these, including, yes, conditioning, is a must. Google this if you have never used natural hair: proper washing and reshaping will make a HUGE difference in your experience, as well as in the life of the brush. 3). Reshaping is different than with synthetic brushes. Natural hair tends to frizz out a bit and needs extra care with shaping. I recommend brush nets. They actually included one on the powder brush, which is awesome. 4). Goat hair is designed for powder, and to give very polished high-coverage. You will need less product on the brush than you are used to. This is especially true for blush, bronzer, and contour. This means you have to adjust your normal application until you find the right amount for you, but it also means that you save money on product. That is why natural hair brushes are normally worth the extra expense. 5.) The eye shadow brushes are made of other animal hair because of this; this is what they mean in the description when they say the choose the hair for each brush carefully. For your eyes you want a sheerer coverage that you can build up by patting on or using multiple swipes. Although you can easily use goat hair brushes for eyes (I have several), as a beginner, this set is very user-friendly until you get used to the amount of coverage you get with goat hair as opposed to synthetic. You can tell they really did create this set with a lot of consideration for how it would be used and who the target audience is. 6). The blending brush for eyes/concealer will be pokey. It can't be avoided. But again, you are trading that for next-level blending. This is the only natural hair brush where I would advise using liquid products; it works magic for liquid concealer. For both powder and liquid, the more you buff it, the closer you get to an air-brushed finished. Basically, these brushes are probably one of my best finds on Amazon. I prefer natural hair brushes and have quite a few. I am still shocked by the quality of these for the price. I feel like they could easily charge $30+ for the powder brush alone. The synthetic foundation brush is also on par with higher-end ones in my collection. You'd be crazy not to buy it, because I imagine once they start getting more positive reviews, the price will go up. I don't often leave reviews, because I am most often dissatisfied with what I buy. These are a true find, and if this company offered additional brushes, i would definitely buy them.

More brushes than I needed but not complaining :) look nice, feel very soft (last brushes were the bamboo synthetic) Very satisfied with the brushes. Case they came with was a bit cheap but - I didn't need a case - I needed good brushes.
