I usually return 50%-60% of my online clothing purchases, because they are always too short. This dress is the perfect length for me. I bought a solid navy blue and a navy blue with little red flowers. For the dance I’ll wear the solid navy, it’s simple and comfortable and can be dressed up with heels. The blue and pink floral was very pretty and flattering - until I washed it. Turns out, this dress was not cotton blended with polyester as advertised. It is rayon and polyester. The colors ran and the fabric pilled badly in one cold water wash.

On Amazon especially with clothes from Asia I order large. I did so with this dress to be cautious. It fits great, 140-144 # 5'5" tall. The product listing says the fabric is 65% cotton and 35% polyester, but the tag on the dress says 95% polyester and 5% elastane. They are lying about the material. I have bought from this seller many times before and this time the fabric was noticeably different to the touch. It does not have same tactile feel or stretch. I suspect the manufacturer or pattern was changed as well, because the sleeves seams have also changed, and I could not even fit the dress on because the sleeves no longer fit.
