This level looks decent, and has some nice looking features. However, upon conducting a simple test—placing the level on a surface, noting the position of the bubble, rotating the level 180° and placing it on the very same spot, and noting the position of the bubble again—the bubble did not read the same in both positions. It was off by about a 1/32"+ over 3'. So I bought a Stabilia Jamber set, and both those levels are dead on. I was hoping to save some money, but I guess you get what you pay for. ... show more

I really like this level. It's super heavy duty. In fact it's much bigger/wider than I anticipated. My only complaint is that for the money it should have come with a ruler on one side. In fact I wouldn't have purchased these if I knew there was no ruler. I think a ruler on a level should just be standard. So, the value for the price isn't there for me. I can get a nice level from the box store and it has a ruler on the face not the edge. ... show more

    • The Babe the Blue OX of levels! Very rugged and obviously built to last!!
I purchased this level after my 78" level bent during a cabinet install. This level has surpassed my expectations. It is thicker and wider than my previous level by over a quarter inch! The center vial is also encapsulated by the machined aluminum body. A manufacture technique that is not present on my other levels. In addition to the center vial, the level has two additional vials at either end, each with a plumb site! A unique feature that will eliminate the need to "spin" the level to use the plum site. I predict this level will be one of my "GO-TO" tools. I give it 4 stars, and encourage anyone looking for a robust, durable quality tool at a reasonable price point to look no further and buy the "Babe the Blue OX" of levels! ... show more

    • Ox Pro Is a Keeper
Wasn't going to use this long a level very often, so took a long shot on Ox Pro, Australian company rather pay twice the price fo the German level, or a bit more for any of the other Chinese made former American household names. While not exactly like the picture, in that the 96" level, if it has machined surfaces, has them painted over. But its bubble vials have ports with mirrors to allow viewing from the front and side.. Flipping the level shows it is dimensionally true. What more can a level do? It's end cushions are removable. Yes, manufactured in China, but so are Ipods, Iphones, most motherboards etc. I may update my old 48" Craftsman I beam with another "Box Beam" Ox Pro, very stiff. ... show more

I've yet the opportunity to use it. At first glance it is a bit heavy and awkward in the hand. Time will tell. I am on the tail end of a project now and will not have the opportunity to use it until I start my next project in a few days.

    • Cant beat it for the price, reads true
So far so good, I've had this level now for a couple of months and have set about 30 houses of cabinets with it and I really really like it. It reads perfectly level against my stabila and seems to be crafted very well. Only time will tell on how true it stays, but for the price you cant beat it!

The crew that designed this level did a great job, it is accurate and easy to read and beautiful. Looks like it should be on display in a museum. This is the best level I have ever had.Now use 4 other levels of different length. One comment is I am using this level now to install 24 x24 inch porcelain tile and I hate to get this level covered with thin-set due it is just too pretty to be dirty. Bought 4 levels for my crews, and they are a get value for the money. Very sturdy and accurate out of the box. Will see how long they last in the back of a work truck, but definitely more affordable that the Stabila.
