Our favorite water bottles
Owala water bottles for the win! These are hands-down our favorite water bottles. We have tried just about every popular brand out there—Yeti, Stanley, Hydro Flask, and others—and the Owala is the one that everyone in our family consistently reaches for. I absolutely love the versatility of the lid. You can use the built-in straw when you want to sip, or easily flip it open and drink straight from the opening. Having both options in one bottle is incredibly convenient, especially when you're on the go. The color combinations are also so fun! There are so many options to choose from, and the colors and designs make the bottles feel a little more personal and fun to use. Durability is another huge selling point. These bottles get used constantly and have been dropped and knocked around, yet they hold up extremely well. They seem much less prone to denting than some of the other brands we've tried, which is especially important when they're being used by kids. And, of course, they keep drinks really cold! We can fill them with ice and water, and they stay cold for hours. The lid also seals extremely well—we have never had an issue with them leaking in a bag. After trying so many different water bottles, Owala is definitely the winner for our family. They're durable, versatile, attractive, keep drinks cold, and don't leak. I honestly can't think of another water bottle brand we've liked as much! ... show more

Best water bottle ever
Color: Dreamy Field Size: 32 Ounces
I purchased this bottle just to try out in the summer of 2023. It is now the summer of 2026 and I still use it multiple times a week (only because I now have multiple Owalas and I have just ordered my third Owala FreeSip). I have used so many cups—Stanleys, Yetis, Hydrojugs, Hydroflask, etc—and the Owala is still my favorite. Here’s my favorite things about it: LEAKPROOF! This is the biggest one. I can throw it my bag and trust that everything will stay dry. THE SPOUT! Hands down the best spout I’ve ever used. I love that I can sip through the straw but then close the lid and keep my straw clean and not have any spills if it tips over. And then it also gives me the option to absolutely inhale water if I’m about to shrivel up from dehydration. I think this alone is why I now own three in different sizes. STAYS COLD! The 32 ounce holds ice for quite a while. It varies depending on how often I refill it but if I’m not constantly refilling it, it will hold ice for about 24 hours. THE SIZES! I love the size options. My original one was a 32 ounce and is a great middle ground for me. It holds enough water that I’m not refilling it every hour but it’s not huge. It’s great for work and this bottle will be going to live at my job. I just ordered the 40 ounce for home because I want a little more volume when I’m outside gardening but I can’t say much about the 40 ounce size yet. I also have a 16 ounce (kids size) that I use when I leave the house. It fits in a lot of my bags and it’s leakproof so I always have cold water with me. It’s perfect especially since I’m on medication that causes dehydration if I’m not careful. DISHWASHER SAFE! This one is self explanatory. It’s amazing and I love it. There are a few cons though. The first one is that the 32 ounce doesn’t fit in my cup holder. Not a huge deal since it’s leakproof—I just keep it on the passenger seat. But Owala does have cup holder friendly options now if that’s something you want. The bottle also does dent and scratch fairly easily. I dropped it getting out my car one day and it’s a little beat up now. Kind ugly, but it’s still my fave. It’s kinda disappointing because I have Yetis and Stanleys that have been through far worse and still look new. Just be mindful of that and baby it a little. Still 100% worth it though. Long story short, it’s a great bottle that will keep your water cold and everything else dry. As someone who has used this bottle regularly for years, I highly recommend! ... show more

Small, pretty, and very convenient!
Color: Darling Diva Size: 19 Ounces
This bottle does exactly what it's supposed to do. Yes, it's small, but that's the point. There are definitely pros and cons. The obvious downside is that I have to refill it a few times throughout the day. On the other hand, it's incredibly convenient. It's not too heavy when full, fits easily in my bag and my spin bike's water bottle holder, and the locking latch doubles as a carrying handle. I've even clip it to my fanny pack with a carabiner for hands-free trips to the gym. It keeps drinks cold exceptionally well. I usually fill it with ice, and it lasts all day and overnight. One unexpected benefit is that it fits perfectly in the portable "ADHD caddy" I carry from room to room, which has actually helped me stay hydrated because my water is always with me. (I wrote a separate review about that caddy if you're curious.) If you want a bottle that travels well, doesn't leak, and keeps your drinks ice cold, this is a great choice. I also get a ton of compliments from both men and women on the color (Pink/Purple, Darling Diva). It's a less common color. So, it's a great conversation starter at the gym especially! ... show more

Perfect for school
Color: Lost Signal Size: 24 Ounces
This is a really nice looking water bottle as well as super versatile, perfect for giving your child something nice to use at school. The bottle has several different uses built into one experience, you can use the built in straw or chug water if preferred from the spout, and both are accessible with the same motion. The cap secures firmly making this a spillproof bottle, and there's a convenient carrry handle that flips down to stay out of the way when not in use, locking the lid closed. The twenty-four ounce bottle fits perfectly in most backpack side pockets, so a larger version may not. Highly recommended! ... show more

My New Favorite Water Bottle!
Color: Very, Very Dark Size: 40 Ounces
I absolutely love this Owala FreeSip water bottle! The 40 oz size is perfect for keeping me hydrated throughout the day without having to constantly refill it. The FreeSip design is my favorite part because I can either sip through the built-in straw or tilt the bottle back when I want a bigger drink. It keeps my water cold for a long time, and the stainless steel construction feels sturdy and high quality. The lid closes securely, and I love the sleek Very, Very Dark color—it looks simple, stylish, and goes with everything. It’s perfect for the gym, work, errands, or just keeping next to me throughout the day. Great size, keeps drinks cold, comfortable to use, and absolutely worth it. ... show more

Useful, versatile, and stylish
Color: Foggy Tide Size: 24 Ounces
This Owala water bottle has been a trend lately and I wanted to see if it was really worth the money. Pros: The quality is very nice! Keeps cold drinks insulated well, and it seems very durable. The cap has a detachable straw, which is convenient, and the lid has two drinking spouts. One is for kind of chugging, and one is for sipping through the straw. The button to release the cap for the lid is nice and firm and is hard to press. This is good because the lid won’t pop open at any given chance. There haven’t been any signs of leaking yet as well. The colors on this water bottle are very pretty. It hasn’t faded yet (we’ve had it for around 6 months) and the only signs of chipping is some scratches here and there, which is normal and happens to all water bottles. Now, the best pro: this water bottle makes it fun to drink water!! It may sound crazy, but I loved drinking from the spout. It was comfortable and I enjoyed the experience. For some reason, it was fun and I don’t really know why. But you should try it out to see for yourself! Cons: The handle is very narrow and not very ergonomic. Compared to Stanley’s handles, this handle is painful and tiring to hold with my fingers for a long time. Next, I’m not really sure why, but my Owala got dented pretty quickly on the bottom. Maybe I just need to use a silicone cover. Also, I’ve noticed that this water bottle has less balance than others. It tips over and falls way more often and easier than my other bottles, and I think it’s because the lid is so much heavier than the rest of the bottle. Maybe a silicone cover like I mentioned before would help. All in all, great bottle with a couple minor flaws here and there. If you want a versatile, aesthetic, and fun water bottle, totally recommend this one! ... show more

Almost 2 years later and I still LOVE it!
Color: Iced Breeze Size: 24 Ounces
I've had this water bottle for almost 2 years now and I genuinely love it!! It's the perfect size for me and fits pretty much any backpack I use, which is super convenient. The biggest thing for me is how well it keeps my drinks cold. My water stays cold for 12+ hours, which is AMAZING, especially when I'm working long and brutal shifts 😭. I'll fill it up before work and still have ice-cold water hours later. It's also held up really well over the time I've had it. I haven't had any major issues with it, and the 24oz size has been enough for me so far. I might get a bigger one eventually just because I drink a lot of water, but honestly, the 24oz works perfectly for me right now. I'd definitely recommend this if you're thinking about getting one. It's lasted me almost 2 years and I'm still using it regularly, so I'd say it's worth it! ... show more

Great
Color: Foggy Tide Size: 24 Ounces
This is my favorite water bottle ever. Not only does it have a sip lid and a straw, but it is also insulated. It's super durable and is dishwasher safe. This is perfect for school, work, or even sports. I've had one for a month now and absolutely loved it. It's not too big or bulky while still holding a good amount of liquid. I have a Sprayground backpack and they are known for having ridiculously small side pockets. This water bottle fits into those pockets which is great. I have the Shy Marshmallow color which looks so good. So I would recommend you buy this if you're looking for a long-term use water bottle that is reliable. ... show more
