I tried the regular Owala and a lot of water bottles over the years. This one meets my needs as I like how it has the measurements, lightweight and is comfortable to fit in my bag. It keeps the water room temperature which is good for me because if I want cold water I can get it.

I didn't realized I was picky about my water bottle until my old fave broke and I had to get a new one. I bought and returned many. I thought this Owala was too pricey for a water bottle, but the reviews made it sound like the best thing since sliced bread. And since I trust my fellow man's honest reviews on Amazon, I took the the leap and bought it. In my mind, this is a bougie water bottle. I did not think I needed a bougie water bottle. I love my bougie water bottle. You need this bougie water bottle. It is a water bottle for all people. It is actually leak proof. It is easy to tote. It is easy to clean. This was a main requirement for me. Toss that baby in the dishwasher. And the best part for me is the unique drinking options. I was pretty skeptical that it wouldn't spill all over me, but it doesn't. You can tip it an chug it, or you can leave it upright and sip through the straw. I can't explain it, but that easy sip straw option just makes me so happy. Additionally, I seem to be drinking more water. I can't prove it, but I think the straw is maybe wider than the average water bottle straw, because I can easily sip half my bottle in one go. I have seen it cheaper elsewhere. I do think it is pricey. But, I would still buy this again if I lost this one. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Loveeeeeeeeeeeee this bottle. I'm very picky and this is the best bottle I've ever had hands-down. - Love the straw: easy to sip and clean (unlike the autospout that other bottles have, because you have to suck hard on those and the silicone tip gets gross quickly) - Love the lock function: has never spilled a drop. Though I do wish it was separate from the carrying loop so that it could still be locked while I'm carrying it, but that isn't a huge issue. - Love the bottle: huge mouth makes it easy to put in ice and clean. I can stick my whole hand in there and clean with a sponge. - Lid and bottle feels like really high quality and durable material BUT..... (and here's why I have that title) I accidentally ruined my bottle from cleaning it with the green side of the sponge :( There's tiny microscratches all on the inside and I'm worried it'll harbor bacteria so I'm ordering another one. I didn't scrub hard at all but I guess the sponge was just too abrasive. Otherwise the material feels super durable, so I'm honestly shocked that I was able to scratch it so easily. I manhandle my bottle on a daily basis and I don't have a single scratch/scuff on the outside. But still 5 stars, no contest. Will just have to be more careful washing it next time. ... show more

My daughter was devastated when she lost her first owala so I got her this one. It's a very good bottle. We like being able to see the water level inside the clear bottle. It's also a rather genius design that allows you 2 options to either tip the bottle to drink or to sip the straw. Most water bottles get funky mildew that is impossible to clean but this one holds up much better and cleans easier. Very pleased with this bottle. ... show more

My daughter's school is now requiring all water bottles to be clear. It's really hard to find a godd, leak-proof CLEAR bottle. We love the Owallas and I was thrilled to see a clear option. The ability to sip or lift it to guzzle is the BEST. We have all different bottles and I love that this one works either way, without clicking or flipping anything! The lock totally works, and is amazing for inside the backpack. Totally doesn't leak - it's embarassing how often I've had to lay school papers out on the kitchen table to dry. I love this water bottle! The straw is wide enough to get a good flow to drink from. The open-mouth part is awesome when you need even more water intake than what the straw can offer and want to finish all that’s in the bottle.
