I bought this bottle in stainless steel and I love it! My review for that bottle is below. I wanted to get another one for a new house in a different location. I came across this one that was made exactly the same, except that it was plastic rather than stainless steel. It was on sale for half the price of the steel one, so I decided to go with it. It is just as nice as the stainless as far as construction. Granted it won't be as durable, but I know that this thing will last many years. Perfect! This is perfect as a water bottle. It is heavy duty and tough. The paint on it hasn't chipped or come off in any way as tall and I have had it for a while. This is only for cold liquids, not hot, but I bought it strictly for water. I carry it on our morning hikes and take it with me for yoga, cardio, etc. It keeps the water cold a long time if you keep it shut. That is absolutely my favorite thing about this and the reason I chose this bottle. The straw is built in and you can shut a cover over it. Your straw isn't hanging out ready to catch any viruses or germs that are in the air or on whatever surface might come in contact with it. I can grab this and pop it open, get a drink, and re-close it with one hand. Once you snap that top on, not a single drop of water will come out of this thing. You can shake it around, carry it upside-down... whatever, it will not leak. If you see any water droplets in the photos, it is because I just washed it. It comes in 16, 24, 32 and 40 ounce sizes. I chose the 24. It is the perfect size for me... enough to get through a whole workout or hike, but not some huge, heavy thing I have to lug around. It even has a little flip up handle on top that you can carry it by. I fill it up in the afternoon before I workout and again before bedtime to leave on the nightstand overnight. In the morning, I add water if needed and take it on my hike. Then I wash it with the breakfast dishes and it is ready to go again. It comes in lots of color choices from subtle to bright, so you can make it fit you. I went with classic black on black. If anything ever happens to this one, it would have to be that I lost it because I think that is pretty indestructible, but if anything happens to it, I will buy another one exactly like it! This is a great water bottle for cold drinks. The quality is top notch. The body is a sturdy plastic with a high quality plastic lid and hard plastic straw. The price made it a must buy for me. I just purchased the grey one, as well. We’ve had it for a month and used it everyday since. Even with daily use and daily hand washing it appears like new. It doesn’t leak, doesn’t dent when dropped like the metal containers, and the lid maintains a strong seal. I love the Owala lid design. You flip up the handle which locks it from accidental leaks, push the button to pop the lid open and then you have the option of free flow drinking or sipping from the straw. The only downside is that it is hand wash only as it could melt in the dishwasher. My son’s 1st grade teacher required clear water bottles in her classroom so students couldn’t sneak in and spill sugary drinks. I needed something with a straw to avoid accidents, clear and sturdy enough to stand up to a six year boy. This is the perfect fit. ... show more

This water bottle is really convenient for everyday use. The FreeSip design is a nice feature because it gives you the option to sip through the built-in straw or tilt the bottle to drink normally. I didn't realized I was picky about my water bottle until my old fave broke and I had to get a new one. I bought and returned many. I thought this Owala was too pricey for a water bottle, but the reviews made it sound like the best thing since sliced bread. And since I trust my fellow man's honest reviews on Amazon, I took the the leap and bought it. In my mind, this is a bougie water bottle. I did not think I needed a bougie water bottle. I love my bougie water bottle. You need this bougie water bottle. It is a water bottle for all people. It is actually leak proof. It is easy to tote. It is easy to clean. This was a main requirement for me. Toss that baby in the dishwasher. And the best part for me is the unique drinking options. I was pretty skeptical that it wouldn't spill all over me, but it doesn't. You can tip it an chug it, or you can leave it upright and sip through the straw. I can't explain it, but that easy sip straw option just makes me so happy. Additionally, I seem to be drinking more water. I can't prove it, but I think the straw is maybe wider than the average water bottle straw, because I can easily sip half my bottle in one go. I have seen it cheaper elsewhere. I do think it is pricey. But, I would still buy this again if I lost this one. ... show more

Loveeeeeeeeeeeee this bottle. I'm very picky and this is the best bottle I've ever had hands-down. - Love the straw: easy to sip and clean (unlike the autospout that other bottles have, because you have to suck hard on those and the silicone tip gets gross quickly) - Love the lock function: has never spilled a drop. Though I do wish it was separate from the carrying loop so that it could still be locked while I'm carrying it, but that isn't a huge issue. - Love the bottle: huge mouth makes it easy to put in ice and clean. I can stick my whole hand in there and clean with a sponge. - Lid and bottle feels like really high quality and durable material BUT..... (and here's why I have that title) I accidentally ruined my bottle from cleaning it with the green side of the sponge :( There's tiny microscratches all on the inside and I'm worried it'll harbor bacteria so I'm ordering another one. I didn't scrub hard at all but I guess the sponge was just too abrasive. Otherwise the material feels super durable, so I'm honestly shocked that I was able to scratch it so easily. I manhandle my bottle on a daily basis and I don't have a single scratch/scuff on the outside. But still 5 stars, no contest. Will just have to be more careful washing it next time. ... show more

Our family loves Owalas, so when my husband said his work needed him to use a clear bottle I went searching and found this. The clear color design is great for his job but also great for kids who love to decorate using vinyl stickers. We love the double option for drinking (spout chug or sip straw). It's light weight and easy to travel with. Only issue I had was it sweats a bit so storing it on wood tables or next to paper is a no go!
