    • Don’t drop it.. But if you do, the locking mechanism can be fixed

This really is a good cup. But.. after having it for one week, my 4 year old dropped it twice. On that second drop, the locking mechanism broke off inside of it and was bouncing around inside the lid. First, I panicked and considered it broken. After, I realized that I was able to pull out all of the lid components in order to place the locking piece back in its place. Getting it back together took some patience but can be done with no tools. So.. Yes, it’s a bummer that I had to do this at all. But.. It’s also great that it can be put back together with relative ease. While it’s locked, there’s no leaking whatsoever. If it’s open though, whatever water has access to the bottom opening of the straw will come streaming out. Overall, this is a good cup! I have plenty of Owalas, I really love them so I purchased this for my toddler. I don’t care for this style lid. If they had juice or milk in this cup and if I didn’t clean it right away I put the lid in boiled hot soapy water to get any residue off it. I really love the other style better!

Love the concept, however, leaks from the tip of the bottle. If turned over by a toddler, it will leak out slowly. Nice if there was a way to reduce the leaking, but not a huge concern.

Kid hates sippy cups, but loves having a water bottle just like mine. I’m a huge Owala fan, and I’m very happy with the kid bottles, as much as the adult ones. Kid can open their bottle and drink from it easily, and I can lock it closed when I don’t want them getting water on stuff. It doesn’t spill that much, to be honest, if the bottle is held upside down, but the lock is very much appreciated. This bottle has helped us wean the kid off baby bottles.
