  • Buy larger than you think you need
Color: 163 cm Black&Grey
I got the 163cm version of this bag, which says it can accommodate snowboards up to 163cm, but because of the way the bag is designed I think it's really only suitable for snowboards that are quite a bit smaller. If you could actually get your snowboard into the bag I think it could handle 163cm, but because of the way the zipper/feet of the bag are designed, my guess is the 163cm version of this bag could really only be used for something like a 157cm snowboard (maybe even smaller... I'm just guessing here by eyeballing it). The issue, which I think is sort of a design flaw, is that the opening on the bag is only ~133cm. The rest of the space in the bag comes from the plastic "feet" on either end of the bag which are ~15cm each. Although the total length of the bag is ~163cm, because of the way the zipper is designed there isn't really any way to fold back the plastic feet and get a larger board inside. If you have a larger snowboard I wouldn't consider this bag at all, as it either won't fit, or it will be super annoying to try and get your board in and out of it. But let's assume you have a smaller snowboard and you still want this bag. The good stuff: The main zipper on the outside is super beefy and looks like it can take a lot of abuse. There are two pockets on the outside of the bag with zippers that look like they are pretty tough too. The inside of the bag has two smaller mesh pockets with less durable zippers, but they should still work fine for storing gloves/hats and other small items. There are two clips on the inside of the bag that you can loop over your snowboard to help keep it from sliding around. The bag has a tarp-like lining waterproof lining to help keep your car dry if you throw your wet gear in there. It's large enough that you can probably fit most of your gear in there. Smaller boots and helmets will fit inside with your board, but larger helmets might be a little bit too big. The handle and strap feel pretty durable and I think they will hold up well. Snowboards are always a little awkward to carry, but this bag is reasonably well balanced and easy to carry with the strap, all things considered. I do wish it had some wheels on it so that you could wheel it around using the handle on the top though. Overall I think this is a pretty good bag. My big issue with it is it can't really handle the sizes of snowboards it claims to accommodate, but if you plan ahead and get a larger bag than what the product listing says it should be OK. It appears to be reasonably durable, can handle a fair amount of gear, and has a number of pockets to help keep things organized. ... show more
