I bought this leash for bikejoring with my dog but it now lives in my car. This is NOT a training leash. The bungees inside are enough give for a pulling activity like canicross or joring, without sacrificing durability. It's on the heavier/bulkier side, and not easy to clip on itself, so it takes up some room in a pack. The clip is good quality, the stitching has not unraveled, and it's easy to wash. I like the extra handle for walking in reactive situations or taking a dog to the vet; it really helps to have a little bit of extra leverage without yanking on their collar. Let me start by saying I love this leash . The bungee pull is very strong . My dog is 18 lbs and lovesss pulling and trying to run when she sees a bird . She isn’t strong enough for her to pull the leash unless she gives it her all . This leash has decreased the tugging and pulling . It’s good material , the holding area is a bit uncomfortable as I wear it around my wrist but pretty sure it’s comfortable if you use your actual fingers . The value for money is not bad at all . I love this leash. We got it for our puppy a year ago. The second handle was very helpful in training. Its not bulky or heavy. My dog is 63 lbs all muscle and it had held up for a year now and we walk almost everyday.

    • The best leash to use with martingale collar

I have a very lively Husky who gets hyper-excited when he sees other dogs when I am walking him. I am training him to remain calm - it's getting better every day. He wears a martingale collar but it's really hard to control him with a regular leash. I purchased the tactical bungee leash to try with the martingale, before resorting to a halti or more restrictive collar. I am amazed at the difference! I should note I am 5'6" and use the handle to have him walk next to me. It's the exact right length for the leash to be 90 degrees to the collar. Most of the time the martingale is now loose around his neck, making for a more comfortable walk. If he reacts suddenly to another dog, the collar tightens and doesn't allow him to engage his very strong shoulders and legs. The swivel on the leash is the best part. I can maintain a hold on the handle and the leash will spin with him, even a 360 degree move, which he is prone to. The other benefit is that the leash is very light, making it more comfortable for me and him. The bungee portion of the leash does act as a secondary stop ( this has happened only once). I highly recommend the combination for a very strong dog who doesn't always behave on walks. ... show more

This is a really great leash! Ive been on the hunt for a good leash, the regular polyester or whatever they are made out of was really hurting my hand when my dog was pulling. I also paid $50 for a leather one and i dont love it. This one has a really nice looped handle on the top and i absolutely LOVE the lower loop on the bottom for when i need to pull my dog close to me - gives me really good control. I also REALLY like the bungee factor. When my dog pulls, shes not pulling me with her...there is a little bit of give. I havent used it long enough to tell, but it does also seem like my dog isnt pulling as much. Highly recommend - super comfortable and would buy it again in a heartbeat. ... show more
