A little extra light has been what we've been wanting for our open, covered deck up north and this set fills this desire. The 35' of lighting fits nicely as our deck is 25' which allows the lights to be across the front as well as to also go around each corner. With being a 1 w per bulb LED, I doubt that we will desire a dimmer, but it is nice to have this as an option. There are no hangers included with this package, but what I do appreciate is that each light has a hook attached at the top, so most are hung with nails with some extra support screw attachments at each corner. I also appreciate the 7' starter cord at the beginning that attaches to our extension cord, that we do currently use as our 'switch'. Wasn't sure about these lights as the price was super reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised! Testing the lights indoors I though the lights were too bright. After installing outside, hung between two trees, I was happy to see the brightness was perfect. Bright enough to easily see in the dark, but not too bright to be distracting. I strung several strings together to cover my whole yard. They look great. Also like that they are LEDs so they should last a long time. ... show more

Fortunately, this set of string lights is made with a clear attention to detail and concern about quality, as the outer bulb housings are heavy duty and crystal clear. The set also came with an extra bulb (with outer housing), in case a light goes out. The cord of these string lights is very thick and clearly water resistant, yet the entire string of lights hangs nicely and is easy to position without having to fight kinks. The color temp appears to be about 4000K, which is a more natural color temp than the typical "warm" temp of around 2700K to 3500K, which was a pleasant surprise for us. Do be aware, friends, that you will not get the item in pictured in the vendor photos. Read carefully. There is a *huge* amount of distance between the bulbs—many feet, and the vendor even indicates this, it’s just that pictures seems to suggest we are getting a much different image. I’ve got some shots here of a sample draping on a ceiling, although we won’t use them as they don’t quite do it. These might be okay if you’re wrapping them around a pole or something where you can control the distance from bulb to bulb. But otherwise, they are not going to at all drape like the Costco line of these bulbs do, nor like the picture of the picnic here, where there’s about 16-18 inches between bulbs. This strand is more like 3 feet per bulb. Very strange. It does allow many strands together, and we have three of these, so we’ll probably wait to use them until we have some steady garden fixture or walls on which to spread a little more thickly. They just look lame with too few bulbs! Additionally, the wire is rather thin, like an alarm clock cord, and not those thick, rounded cords that give the overall strand a finished lock. It’s more a hidden christmas light vibe with a skinny cord. The plastic bulbs, however, are nice and shatterproof, and they do give you one extra bulb just in case. They are very bright, actually. But the weird long spacing doesn’t give it that outdoor garden party or backyard fire night vibe, sorry to say. We would not buy these again and they are 3 for us. ... show more

Easy to install and the bulbs are shatterproof. I was looking through the pictures to see what type of connection it used as I came across multiple string lights that connect through different type of connections (christmas lights, male to female) however this connection is through a plug (female plug), so it’s easy to connect onto another outdoor lights or anything else. I do notice that the bulbs do occasionally get loose but I think it’s due to the intense winds and weather. ... show more

These lights 35ft and are shatter proof! shatterproof! They seem good quality and nice and durable. They are made of weatherproof construction so you can keep them outside all year round. This is great so I don’t have to take them down and put them back up every year. You can purchase a dimmer separately Wich would be nice, I may look into getting one of those. These lights have built in hooks. This is perfect as it made it very easy to hang them up. ... show more

I needed a shorter length string light kit for my front porch, and this fit the bill nicely. The bulbs are a warm dim glowing with single Edison style filaments. The lights are all working and provide an adequate amount of light for my front porch. It does not include any mounting hardware so you will need to provide that. The bulbs should last a while because they are LED and I’ve added them to a smart outlet to turn on and off as sunrise and sunset happens. ... show more

So the lights are good, the brightness is also good. I like that they are shatterproof. But the only thing I don’t like is that the lights are so far apart. There’s so much space between each light. very skimpy. So I had to droop them in order to even have two lights between each post. As far as quality, they are decent. But I’ve just hung them so I can’t comment on how long they will last. ... show more
