I love the lights! The ability to dim and set different timers is awesome!! The Edison bulbs are modern and the fact that they are shatterproof and you get 2 spares means I will enjoy these for a long time. They are easy to hang, look great and a terrific value!!! The remote must be pointed at the control unit. I suspect that is why some reviews state the controller doesn’t work. It must be close and pointed at the unit. I bought two sets of these lights. Checked the lights to make sure they worked before we hung them, and they did work great. I did not check the remotes. I removed the plastic from the remotes to connect the battery within the remote, but neither remote will work. To use the lights I will have to turn them off and on from the box on the lights, which was hidden from view, thinking I could use the remote to turn the lights off and on, but now the wires are hanging from the fence and looks like crap. The package arrived quickly. I was pleased with the hooks provided to string the lights on our ourdoor canopy. The problem is in this 100 degree climate the heat is melting the plastic light bulbs. I will have to replace the bulbs as they melt further.

The remote did not work out of box. The lights stopped working all together within 2 weeks of being outside. The plug in box gets warm and does not work.
