Firstly, who ships a nalgene waterbottle in a cardboard tube of packaging? Seems overkill to me. It does include a little plastic carabiner, so perhaps that was the only way to figure out how to send them both? Anyhow, the bottle itself is very nalgene'esque and nobody would know (or care) of the difference. I noted that the lid seems a touch different, so I wouldn't expect the lids to be interchangeable. My senses couldn't pick up on much of a difference between the two brands, so I would expect my nalgene sipper splash guard will work in this bottle too.

This water bottle went on a Scout weekend with my son and worked well for him. Not a single leak over a 12 mile hike and overnight stay. The carabiner is fine, but isnโt the main attraction. The packaging is very nice, but again it is not the main reason to buy this. The bottle is durable and doesnโt leak - so I would recommend it.

This is a nalgene bottle plain and simple. Same plastic, same size, same threads. That's not a bad thing. Nalgene bottles are the bees knees when it comes to outdoor activities. The wide mouth makes this bottle easy to fill and drink from and my water filter screws directly onto the bottle for refilling. They are also rock solid. There are two 'upgrades' to this bottle. First is the light weight plastic carabiner. Obviously not for climbing, but great for attaching the bottle to things. Second is the addition of the rubber embedded in the cap. It has a nice feel and makes it really easy to open and close. Whether the rubber grip and the carabiner are worth the extra cost is up to you. This bottle will run you a few extra dollars than a slightly more generic bottle from the big box store. The bottle does come in what I'd call an elaborate round camo box that fits the bottle pretty much perfectly. My first thoughts were that the box is neat, but probably costs more than a more generic box. Maybe if they ditched the box for something less expensive, this bottle could come in at a slightly more competitive price.

bottle itself is nice and strong, nalgene style so you can fill it all the way to the brim. only reason it isn't 5 stars is the carabiner that comes with it is a little wobbly on the hinge. I can pop it out of socket with my fingers. swap for a metal on and you're golden.

This water bottle came nicely packaged. I find that its constructed from quality material and seals well, and I love the orange color of the carabiner, which seems sturdy. I clipped it to my bike rack recently for some extra water to bring on a park trip with my kids and have carried it around a bunch over the last week. The only thing I would improve about it would be some form of drinking spout. I noticed the vendor doesn't include a picture of the bottle open because when you twist the cap off it's as wide of an opening as the rest of the bottle. The wide opening would make it difficult to use this while exercising or moving around, or drinking while someone else is driving. The wide opening does allow you to add ice easily, so its a tradeoff. It would be nice to have another option for smaller spout or straw.

Sturdy water bottle for camping but the plastic clip is a little flimsy. It's hard plastic and I would prefer if it was metal. I like that the bottle has has capacity markings that you can actually see. overall I would give it a 4.5 but that's not an option.

This water bottle is the exact size and shape of the classic nalgene bottle. The included plastic carabiner doesn't do much for me. Compared to vacuum insulated bottles this seems overpriced for just a plastic bottle.

This is a great water bottle that is in many ways is like the common Nalgene brand you find at REI and other camping or sports stores. However, I actually like the cap on this bottle more than a brand name bottle I recently bought at REI. This one's has a soft and more slip-resistant finish that I think is easier to open with wet hands or gloves. Surprisingly, the plastic carabiner is really heavy-duty, more so than some metal (non-climbing) carabiners I've gotten with other goods. It actually is heavy enough that if it had a metal core I would not be surprised. I'd actually like to buy some of the carabiners by themselves because they are so nice. Finally, the bottle comes in a circular tube almost like a fine bottle of scotch. I was surprised as these kids bottles are usually sold loose not even wrapped in plastic. With this packaging, it makes it gift-worthy for anyone that travels or is active outdoors.
