  • Good design details, materials
Size: One Size Color: Shadow Grey
I had another stuff-able backpack before this one, however I like the osprey design much better. The osprey has a small pocket that is easily accessible from the outside and is great for storing phone and keys. The stuff bag hangs inside this pocket creating a pocket in a pocket, so that helps separate my keys and phone to prevent screen scratches. The zippers are very easy to find and pull with the large osprey style loops. The shoulder straps feel quite comfortable. The the strap adjustment works smoothly, holds firmly, and is easy to adjust. Finally, the loop at the top of the bag is large enough that it can hang off of larger hooks or door knobs. In contrast, my previous bag had thinner material, straps that hurt after a while, a drawstring stuff bag that was too small for my phone and was tucked inside the main zipper so that it was hard to access, zippers that weren’t as easy to find and pull, and when adjusting the straps to the longest setting, the ends of the webbing could get stuck. I liked my old bag, used it a lot for travel, groceries, sports, etc, and held off on purchasing this bag for a while. But now that I bought it, I am very grateful for the upgrade. ... show more

  • Good for walking around town, not great for hiking
Size: One Size Color: Tropic Teal
Quality of the bag is good, appearance is good, very portable. My gripe is that for hiking the straps are really too narrow for a longer trip, however I'm not sure that's how the bags advertised. I took it on several 3 day + treks and my shoulders were not pleased by the end of the day.

  • Great lil bag
Size: One Size Color: Poppy Orange
Great bag that packs down small. Takes up very very little space. Had this in my carryon while on a month long trip in Thailand. Used it for daily shopping and weekends trips. Granted it was in a warm climate and I was packing light. Still surprising amount of space and the usual Osprey quality.

  • Not Too Small - Goldilocks Size
Size: One Size Color: Tropic Teal
I had low expectations for this packable backpack, mostly due to it being so lightweight and since I couldn’t see it in person I was worried it would be too small for my purposes. Boy was I wrong. It’s just the right size for hiking/getting outdoors, which is what I now use it for. It fits my water bottle, hammock, camping blanket, sunglasses, keys, and medication. All with room to spare (fills up like 75% of the available space). It is also more sturdy than you would expect, because it handles all that with no issues even though it’s probably 15lbs or so worth of gear. When empty, it packs down into a pocket sized lil baggie thing, which makes bringing it along super easy. Would recommend. ... show more

  • Osprey vs. Outlander vs. Sea to Summit
Size: One Size Color: Shadow Grey
In my quest to find the best ultralight, packable daypack for travel, I come across three different backpacks: - Osprey Ultralight Stuff Pack (18L) - Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Ultralight Day Pack (20L) - Outlander Ultra Lightweight Packable Daypack (20L) I purchased the Osprey and Outlander pack and tried both of them for a week. I also tried Sea to Summit day pack in a nearby REI store. In the end, I choose Osprey over the other two brand, for the following reasons: - Exterior fabric: Osprey has a soft, smooth exterior fabric, which does not cringe or make noise. When fully loaded, its streamlined shape is the best of the three. In comparison, Outlander's fabric is too stiff, and Sea to Summit's fabric is too noisy. Both of them looks ugly as hell, if not fully loaded. - Weight: Osprey weights 90g, Outlander 208g, Sea to Summit 72g. - Packable size: Sea to Summit packed down to the smallest size, Osprey is only slightly bigger, while Outlander is more than twice as big, when packed into its own staff sack. - Shoulder strap: Osprey has the most comfortable shoulder straps among the three. Its shoulder straps are ergonomically designed to have the pack firmly fit to your body. In comparison, Sea to Summit's shoulder straps are the least comfortable. Outlander's straps are good, but not as good as the Osprey. Note about the sternum strap - some reviewers claim it is a must, but in my daily use I don't really feel the need for that, as long as I don't overload the pack (and you should not do that anyway). - Side pocket: Outlander has two side pockets, both of them are not deep enough to hold my 750ml water bottle securely. Osprey has one side pocket, and it is deep enough to hold the water bottle securely. Sea to Summit pack has no side pocket at all. In summary, Sea to Summit day pack is the lightest and smallest of the three, but it sacrifice too much feature and usability to achieve that, IMO it is not worth it. Outlander pack is too heavy, too big when packed down, and too noisy to carry. Osprey's pack strikes a very nice balance among size, weight and usability, and that is why it comes out on top. ... show more

  • Great for hiking or shopping.
Size: One Size Color: Electric Lime
I have taken this back pack hiking to the hills, and walking around town. I even got caught in the rain a couple times and my "stuff" inside stayed dry.

  • Great Spare Pack
Size: One Size Color: Venturi Blue
Bought it as a spare from my main day pack. My brother used it and reported the straps to be comfy. It held light necessities and having a side pocket for water was definitely handy. It was great having the availability of a second bag when needed at barely any extra weight. No reason not to have it. *Update* I use this as my gym bag now, and it is so comfortable and light. The convenience of being able to just toss this in my passenger seat and then stuff it into a locker is so nice. Perfect grab & go bag, and it has been used almost daily. ... show more
