  • Awesome
Size: Medium
Great for mountaineering! Although I’d like more access to the compartment inside without having my helmet and ice axe fall off.

  • Comfortable and very lightweight
Size: Small
I ultimately did not keep this pack but it's well-made, very lightweight and comfortable. I'm attempting a Mt. Rainier climb next year so I'm looking for a pack that's lightweight, can carry up to 40 pounds while still being as comfortable as possible, and can accommodate an ice axe and trekking poles. This pack checks all those boxes but ultimately I decided to keep looking as I'd like a few more pockets (there are none on this other than the hip belt zippered and cinch pockets) and a separate sleeping bag compartment at the bottom for other trips, at the expense of a bit more pack weight. This pack has a removable top lid with a secondary cover and fully adjustable shoulder and hip straps. My torso measures 16.5" which is right between an XS and S, so I tried both. I honestly could have gone with either but the S felt just a tad more comfortable. There is no rain cover included with this pack. While I decided to search for a different pack that I could use in a variety of trip scenarios, this pack is outstanding (as most Osprey gear is!) and I reccommend giving it a try. ... show more
