My 13 year old enjoyed this pack while we day hiked in Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. The longest hike we took was about 15 miles, and he had plenty of storage space for a mix of cold/warm/rainy/sunny weather. It held up really well and and should be a great pack for years to come. Very pleased with this purchase. The only minor issue was that the magnet that comes with it to mount the bladder tube is prone to detaching. We lost that piece. I think Osprey should find a better way to ensure the magnet stays clamped of the pack. Husband got this pack for an upcoming trip. He has tested it and reports it's very comfortable and does not leak. Its more exoensive than the one I got, but it has a magnetic holder for the straw and it also holds his trekking polls. Its a nice pack.

This is a slim pack. It seems to be well made, however, the strap to hand carry at the top is too thin. This pack works well for arm maneuverability. Fits my 6'2" frame well, where a lot of packs were too short. I don't find it quite rugged enough to carry much in the way of heavy photo equipment.

Once you start tossing things in -- rain jacket, rain pants, sweater, snacks, first aid, charger, maps, etc. -- it gets pretty tight. I've been using this pack heavily for just shy of a year now. Absolutely perfect for me. I've used it as a day pack, school bag, beach bag, and just general edc. I pushed the limits of it this last week and used it for a 4 day 79 mile backpacking trip in rough, unmarked, and untraficked terrain solo + cowboy camping. Not what any average person using this pack would/should do haha. This bag is definitely not designed for what I've put it through and it has yet to rip or get a stuck zipper. I don't see myself ever using a different pack except for mountaineering or through hiking. ... show more
