I'm a backpack junkie. This is currently my favorite all around pack. I have a hikelite 18 I still use a lot. I liked the pack so tried the 32. Added some gossamer gear pockets. Added some shock cord. I can easily fit everything I could need for a multi day hike. Food and water (refilled on hike) included if it isn't winter. I actually bought this pack for one reason, and that's that has attachments for hiking poles. I don't like to always carry them or use them so it's a nice option to have. The Osprey packs are nice quality however I think they could stand to have some more pockets.

I am an avid hiker, backpacker, and camper, and am a fan of Osprey's products. They have an excellent warranty and satisfaction guarantee. In fact, their treatment of their customers is one of the reasons for why I switched away from Gregory. This 32L backpack is suitable for those wanting to trek for a single, full day. PROS - 100% satisfaction guarantee no matter what reason and for how long you have had the product. One of the reasons for why I am a big supporter of Osprey - Large capacity for the full day - Emergency whistle built into the sternum (chest) strap - Large, mesh side pockets to store water bottles - Pocket for water hydration pack (reservoir not included) - Mesh back to aid with air flow to keep the back cooler - Strong material - Similar comfort like other backpacks without lumbar padding - Side straps to hook and hold hiking poles with - Water/Rain resistant - Rain cover included (which costs between $10-$20 alone) CONS - No lumbar padding to better distribute some of the weight to the hips - Pricey compared to Camelbak packs, but none really come with the feature set offered by this pack NOR the 100% satisfaction guarantee You really can't go wrong with an Osprey backpack (or Gregory). Choose the right look and feel for you as ultimately, you'll be traveling with it for days on end out in the wilderness. Great size for hiking and for carrying items -- not for commuting/office as much, but great for travel, camping, hiking. Pack itself is quite comfortable, the straps and backing are great. No reservoir is included which is unfortunate but there is a spot for one to be added.
