  • Nothing but the best!
Size: Small/Medium Color: Blue Ribbon
Downsized to this from my Atmos 65L. Osprey is such top of the line business this was exactly what I expected! Very lightweight. Durable material. Lots of pockets. Super adjustable like all their packs are. I will always go the Osprey route! Will post a picture next time I have it out. Can't wait to use it on my next backpacking trip! ... show more

  • Great backpack.
Size: Small/Medium Color: Blue Ribbon
What a great backpack for a 6 day hike in Grand Canyon back country. Loved the fit and multiple adjustments always being able to keep it comfortable. So glad I returned the rigid one and got this. Carried all I needed and balanced well keeping to center of my body. Hope to use it again.

  • BUYER BEWARE of defective Osprey Exos 58 packs.
Size: Large/X-Large Color: Tungsten Grey
The two rear gray plastic vertical strips with the 4 adjustable slots are UNEVEN (see picture). In the picture, I placed a piece of paper straight and level with the LEFT SIDE vertical adjustable strap (bottom). As you can see, the RIGHT vertical adjustable strip is HIGHER than the left (there's significant space above the piece of paper) AND that vertical strip is also CROOKED (points more to the right and is not parallel with the left vertical strip). As a result, this pack does NOT sit level on the back/shoulders and will cause pain after periods of use. POOR quality control in the manufacturing of this pack from Osprey. Defective right out of the box. Had to return the pack and reorder since Amazon did not offer an exchange option for this item. But THANKFULLY the replacement pack does NOT have this issue and both adjustable straps are even/level and good to go. (Apparently this particular manufacturer defective issue with the Osprey Exos 58 Large is not uncommon. If you go to REI's site as well as Osprey's website, other people have complained about this exact same issue and a person claimed it's a known issue with this particular pack.) ... show more

  • good pack though there were some questionable design decisions
I just returned from a 5-day, 4-night trip with this pack. It's an excellent pack if you have ultralight tendencies but still want space to carry your comfort or luxury items. Overall the pack performed well. The heaviest I could comfortably carry was around 35-40 lbs. More than that and you could feel the pack start to strain. The main compartment will just barely fit a BV500 on its side, but if you use a water bladder, you'll probably need to carry it vertically. The trampoline back is comfortable and ventilates extremely well. I also found the hip belt very comfortable--more so than Gregory (which pressed into my hipbones) and Osprey's own Atmos, which were a bit much for me. There are numerous loops and ties running in two rows outside to accommodate whatever setup you prefer. The brain is removeable if you want a smaller pack, and without it, it's almost as light as some daypacks like the Talon 22. Some criticisms: I wish the compression straps on the side were weren't anchored to the hip belt pockets. The pockets are already small, and if you use the straps, the pockets are flattened tightly, making access more difficult. It also crushes whatever is inside. While this is fine for items like a multitool or lip balm, it'll turn your snacks into crumbs. I also wish the same compression straps could be routed inside the side pocket. This seems like a step backwards. I'm 5'7" and the S/M fit me well. There are multiple adjustments in the harness to let you really dial in the fit. It's best to go to a store to try on several different ones. I almost got a Gregory, but after finding hipbelt was less than ideal, I ended up back with Osprey again. Lastly, if you need a travel cover for the bag, it fits nicely in a a 20-gallon FRAKTA bag if the brain is removed. ... show more

  • Better than expected with one downside.
Size: Small/Medium Color: Tungsten Grey
Osprey is known for their backpacks. They create quality gear that is made to last while being technical and handling the needs of the outdoor enthusiast. This bag hits all of those markers for me. I took it on a trip to the great outdoors and it performed exceptionally well. The hip pockets are great for the trail snacks. The brain was a fantastic size and ready to access. It was easy to adjust and get to my liking. Overall, I think it is a great bag. My only disappointment is that it does not include a rain fly cover. For a bag that is $300, I would have thought this was necessary. Regardless, I’ll be picking up one of those from my outdoor store before heading into the great unknown again. ... show more

  • Large pack but its easy to set it up to hit your head
Size: Large/X-Large Color: Tungsten Grey
First issue I had was that the top tends to want to get a bit too close to the head and you easily hit the pack easily with the head if you tilt back at all. The pack has netting on the back that separates you from the backpack by as much as 2 inches towards the bottom. Helps keep your back cool. There is a place in the main compartment to mount a water bladder and the hose can be routed through a whole in the top center of the bag. The waist strap is thick and comfortable, each side has a zipper pouch that can be used for holding a cell phone, small camera, or snacks. ... show more

  • Not as good as original or last model
Size: Small/Medium Color: Tungsten Grey
Suspension is stiff, not as flexible as prior, mesh back is less bouncy than prior models (this may desirable for some but not for me). Weighs more than last model. .... nice addition of hip belt pockets and added padding to hip.... all in all I call it a fail
