  • Great upgrade from Ortur's LM2!
Loving it so far! Assembly instructions are a bit vague, but if you're technically inclined, it 'just makes sense'. Parts fit together flawlessly, all pre drilled and tapped fittings lined up perfectly. Took maybe an hour, and worked first try with no issues.

  • Good engraving machine
Color: Gray
Delivered quickly and packed well. The manual is thorough and helped me install the machine. Assembly is not difficult, but it does require a little bit of patience. This is an engraving laser for beginners, and it supports cell phone connection. You just need to set the parameters, and you can start engraving. I am thinking of getting the rotary roller. ... show more

  • A Laser Driven Adventure!
Color: Gray
If you like meeting interesting people in your city, want a pen pal in China named "Daniel", enjoy DIY projects and are in no hurry to use a laser cutter, this might be the perfect product for you. This machine worked great for about 3 weeks then started getting random errors and finally would not power up correctly. I reached out to Ortur customer support via e-mail and that's when the adventure started. Here's a summary of my experience: I got the laser, assembled it watched some videos on how to use it and everything was great. I made stuff that looked like it came from ETSY! I engraved a windchime for my wife for our anniversary. I made a wooden puzzle with a picture of my family. I was having a great time so I order several hundred dollars of material and accessories to use with my new laser cutter. Yay! This is going to be fun!!! Maybe I'll start an ETSY business??? After 3 weeks I started getting a movement detected error. It has a safety sensor that will stop it if it's bumped or tilted. This is nice if it goes off when it's bumped or tilted. We wouldn't want to burn the house down. It's not so nice if it goes off when it's completely stationary and ruins a piece of material. The error became more frequent to the point that it would only run for about 5 seconds before stopping. I tried a few things to debug it. Searched the internet for help but finally came to the point that the machine would no longer power up correctly so I reached out to Ortur customer support. This is when I met "Daniel" and the real fun began. Here's the time line of my e-mail exchange with Ortur customer support: 4/9 Me: My laser won't power up correctly. I get 3 beeps followed by the light flashing red, green and blue. 4/10 Support: Please send a video. Thanks, Daniel 4/10 Me: <Sends video of three beeps and lights flashing red, green and blue> 4/11 Support "Daniel": The reset button is stuck. Please upgrade the firmware 4/11 Me: <updated the firmware and attached a video of the update process assuming they would ask>. No change to the problem. If the button is stuck how is a firmware upgrade going to fix that? After Three days with no response from "Daniel" I order a new motherboard with expedited shipping (over $100) from their website and write a 1* amazon review *Six days pass* 4/17 Support "Daniel": Please send us your firmware upgrade process (remember I sent them a video of it a week ago) 4/20 Support (apparently not "Daniel"): We really need good amazon reviews. Can we send you a replacement or a refund in exchange for a good review? 4/21 Me: I gave up on you guys and ordered a new motherboard. You can refund that if it fixes it (It did) 4/21 Support(Still not "Daniel") we will refund the motherboard 4/28 Me: Tracking says the motherboard was delivered but I don't have it. Please refund everything I have bought from you. 4/30 Support (Still not "Daniel"): It was delivered to your front door. Here's a picture (of a random house), can you check your front door. If you want a refund ask Amazon. 4/30 Me: The GPS coordinates on the picture you sent are 5 miles from me also, the picture is of a house and I live in an apartment . I'm not an idiot I checked my front door. I miss Daniel! Assuming there is not going to be a happy resolution to this I went to the GPS coordinates on the picture during my lunch break and found the house. It was in a very nice, gated neighborhood that I had no idea existed. If I was going to deliver packages to random houses this is probably the place I would have picked. I snuck into the neighborhood behind someone that had the gate code and I knocked on the door but nobody was home. I left a note asking them to call me if they had my package. I wasn't very hopeful since the only thing I had in my truck to write on was on old envelope. I realized this wreaked of a scam but what the heck... It turns out my new friend Ivan (his real name) was much more responsive than "Daniel" and called me when he got home from work. He met me in front of his house that night and handed my new motherboard to me. I spent about 2 hours disassembling my new laser cutter and replacing the motherboard. It was kind of a fun project. I love DIY! When I was done I powered it up and everything worked great! So in summary: I have a new friend in China named "Daniel". I have a new friend in my hometown named Ivan. I got to do a fun DIY project. After about 20 hours over 3 weeks of e-mail, video, driving, trouble shooting, repairing, etc. I finally have a working laser! Thanks for the adventure Ortur!!! ... show more
