i have a bigger nose, so i bought the 8mm 20g ring and it fits perfectly, with a little room off my nose. i will say, i have sensitive skin and changed my piercing for the first time after over a year but changed it multiple times before putting this one in, so my nose was already irritated. it went in super easy, but it was extremely painful to move around after a day and a keloid appeared around 3 days after putting it in. the first picture is 4 days with the ring in and the second picture is me now 12 days in with the ring in. i took advice from a family friend and made my own saline solution (distilled water+salt) and dipped a q-tip in it, using both sides for the outside and inside of the piercing. i also applied a light layer of aquaphor on the outside where the keloid was and it is almost gone! i will say the saline can make your nose get really dry and flaky, so the aquaphor helps with that. since i have sensitive skin, i will only recommend this to somebody who can deal with the pain and a keloid for a little while. ... show more

I first ordered the 6mm, which I’ve worn in stud form in my helix. However, the loop was a bit too snug around the outside of the ear. I sent it back for the 8mm with no issues returning. The hoop is super cute and stays in place…once you finally get it in. Getting it in really wasn’t difficult, but latching it proved to be more challenging. I ended up taking it out and practicing opening and closing several times before trying to insert again. I did find inserting from the back forward made it easier to manage the clasp. My ear was a little sore the next day from the length of time finagling with it the night before, but has had no irritation since. Just got my nose pierced about 7 months ago and have been wanting to switch to a smaller hoop so badly and this was my choice! After looking at what felt like hundreds of hoops I landed on this one and I’m so happy with it! I got the18g 8mm in gold (pictured) and the 18g 8mm in silver and prefer the gold. My nose ring is a little lower than some people so if yours is higher definitely go with the 9 or 10mm because this fits snug on me with no extra room. I definitely recommend needle nose pliers for getting it on…I used an ifixit toolkit which is normally for fixing computers but it’s all I could find around the house at the time. I could not get it closed with my hands alone. If you have tiny, strong fingers you might be able to get it to work but I could not. I switched from a stud to a hoop for the first time with this piercing and I haven’t had any problems. Absolutely in love with this! I’ve had my nose pierced for years but only worn a stud. I ordered the 20g. 7mm and love the way it looks but my piercing is a bit higher so it’s a little snug. I’m keeping it and also ordering the 8mm to see how it feels. Always good to have a backup!!
