I pre ordered the 9600 thinking that I was getting a deal only to receive it to find out that it is in fact the same one ( 7000) that I currently have. I AM LIVID! It is EXACTLY the same as 8000 (same technology, looks and everything else, except for the number on the box), and does not include the storage rack for the brush heads. Super annoyed! Returning!

I was considering 8000 but went with this one and somehow missed a review. I think it is overpriced for just that usb charging port (that charges your phone only with your wire) added on the travel case that will be used oh well occasionally. I was disappointed that head storage (something to use daily; and I did purchased it separately adding it to already high total) was not included as with this model like it was with 8000. The app is unstable and it doesn’t allow for multiple profiles to be created so the handle cannot actually be shared. Save your money go with genius 8000. The usb port is missing in my price value especially that it takes hours to charge phone anyway! ... show more

    • Nice Tooth Brush but Slightly Disappointed!

When I unboxed this tooth brush and looked at the handle my initial thought was I received the wrong one. But after some research realized the handle on this 9600 series is the exact same as my 6000 series. Now this one does come with some other items that the 6000 does not, but I usually don't use the accessories anyways. I only use the handle and charging base for home use. So I was disappointed I went with the 9600 in the end due to spending considerably more for the same handle. As far as the Oral B electric toothbrushes, I really like them. Clean my teeth very well and I can get the rear molars completely. My favorite brush is the sensitive one. I don't have any issues with gum bleeding or soreness after. And my teeth are so smooth and free of plaque. I recommend the Oral B products to friends who are interested in electric tooth brushes. My only hope is Oral B will decrease the price on the sensitive brush replacement heads so I don't have to look at aftermarket. Thanks for reading my review! ... show more

I am so impressed, I have tried other electric brushes, not only that, I love the app. The heads slide off for easy change, the charging case is great with a usb port for charging the phone or brush what ever you need. I bought this hoping it would work better with their app than my previous Oral-B brush. The good things about this are that the charger stays clean longer and the plastic color ring is replaced with a configurable light ring. First time in my life using electric tooth brush. Got it on that special amazon day at 50% off, so the 100 bucks pricing was great. What has been really amazing is how well this brush cleans my teeth. As I got older, my gums seem to have retreated and expose greater amount of teeth. And three years ago, I started seeing a brown color build up at the bottom of my teeth. I tried brushing it for three years with no result. One month with this brush, 80% of that brown build up is gone. And I continue to see improvement every week. Battery is very long. I recharge it about once two weeks. What's really amazing is how little tooth paste this brush consumes with its small round tip. I use Sensordyne, which is like 12 bucks a tube. Rather than 1 tube per month, I think each tube will now last three months. That means I can save 100 bucks off of tooth paste per year, while getting better results!     • Great Toothbrush. App Needs Work.

The toothbrush itself is fantastic. After using this toothbrush, I can't understand how I ever settled for regular toothbrushes. That glossy, smooth feeling you get after getting a clean from the dentist? You get that every time with this. Battery life is great. It takes a while to get to full charge, but that's honestly not a big issue. Just charge the thing over night when you need to. I personally stopped using the app after a month or so and only rely on the timer. You can put up with the app at first as a sort of training wheel. But after some time when you've become accustomed to how long you should spend on each tooth and get the pacing down, the built in timer is all you need. The app is buggy. It'll say you're brushing a different segment of your mouth than where you're currently at, and that could lead to a bit of frustration and wasted minutes in your busy mornings. Overall, highly recommend it. I chose this over the new io series because functionally, they do the same job and they both do it well, But the cost and ease of finding replacement heads for these toothbrushes are miles ahead of the io series at this time. Not sure how much more, if, the io series brushes your teeth...but I'd imagine it's negligible. ... show more
