I have been using an Oral B electric toothbrush for approximately 8 years. In this time I have used the Floss Action, Dual Clean, Sensitive Clean, Power Tip, and a knock-off from China to save a few bucks (purchased on Amazon). I figured I should try them all so I could identify what works best. First, throw the Chinese knock-offs in the garbage. They are useless compared to any of the Oral B brushes. Secondly, I find the Floss Action better by a wide margin over any of the others I have tried. There are a few reasons why. First, it gets between large gaps in the teeth like no other replacement head. For example, I have a wide gap between two teeth caused by a dental root canal. This brush cleans in the space in a way the others don't. I do not have to worry about bad breathe from the root canal anymore! Secondly, it gets deeper into tight spaces as well. I have been told by multiple dental assistants it is very difficult to floss me because the teeth are located close together. With these heads there is no issue! Third, The brush is not too rough or soft. I have average teeth and gums in regards to sensitivity. It seems today everyone thinks they have soft or hard gums. Well you know what, most people are "average" - this is the very definition of average! This brush is intended for the 80-90% of us who have average gums and teeth. My teeth aren't left slimy from a too soft brush and my gums don't hurt from a too rough one. Finally, This head feels the best. You can tell by the unique oscillating rotations that this is a brush with unique features. It doesn't do in a circle like others. All the bristles move in awkward ways, creating a sensation that leaves me happy! ... show more

I've been using the Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush for the last 10+ years. Usually, I buy the regular, round Flexisoft brush heads. The last time I tried to purchase them, however, the store was out of stock. But they did have these, and at a significantly lower price compared to the Flexisofts, so I decided to give them a try. They work well. They deliver that nice, absolutely clean feeling that we all love and expect from our Oral-B's. In this regard, they are at least the equivalent of the Flexisofts, and they may even be slightly superior. Braun embeds 4 little rubber "paddles" into the brush head to, according to them, get between the teeth giving the same benefit as Dental Floss. I can not detect any "flossing" from the brush, but that would be difficult to assess. It may be that the "paddles" do get between teeth more effectively than the regular bristles, but only your dentist would be able to tell. They cause no discomfort. The brushing feels slightly different, but not unpleasant. The chief drawback, as far as I am concerned, is that the brush head has been enlarged to accommodate the flossers. Rather than being circular, like the regular heads, it is an oval. The width is the same, but the height is about half again as large. I think that one of the Oral-B's great strengths is that the small heads can be maneuvered in such a way that you can clean every surface of every tooth. That is slightly (but only slightly) compromised here because of the larger size. When I need to replace these, I will look for the regular Oral-B Flexisoft replacement heads. In my opinion, those are the best. But if I can't find them, I would not hesitate to buy these again. ***UPDATE 2/2011: It amazes me, but there appears to be a *thriving* market in counterfeit Oral-B Brush Heads! I purchase them only when they come directly from Amazon. Under the price, where it says "Sold By" make sure that it says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." If it doesn't, look over on the right side of the page where it says, "More Buying Choices," and see if you can find one that says Amazon. Some of the Third Party Vendors are quite good, but I don't think they are carefully monitored so, when in doubt, stick with Mother Amazon. ... show more

My husband and I both use these toothbrush heads and since I had a free trial of Amazon Prime I wound up purchasing these. With free shipping from Amazon, the price was about $0.30 less than the same product at Target. Not a huge difference, but enough that I decided to go for it to take advantage of the Prime. Aside from price, I think the toothbrush heads are great. This brush/head were recommended by my dentist. I'll be curious what they say at my next cleaning in a couple of weeks! So far, my teeth look cleaner and I feel healthier! Also: even though these say they are flossing brushes, my dentist said you DO have to actually floss still so unfortunately these won't give you a shortcut to the finish line in the bathroom! UPDATE on 7/13/13: The toothbrush and heads are DEFINITELY working. I went in for a cleaning and my hygienist was impressed, particularly since I'm now pregnant and pregnant women generally have problems with bleeding gums. My gums were great! I confess: despite being told that I should still floss regularly, I'm not a very regular flosser at all so the fact that I had the pregnancy also working against me and yet my gums and teeth were in great shape was an excellent sign. I will definitely continue using these toothbrush heads and will (almost) look forward to my next cleaning! ... show more
