Pretty straightforward installation. I did use my own paper towels and isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface very well before putting them on the Tahoe, as the one wipe they give with the kit isn't enough. I applied the lights to the rockers on (above the running boards) and they look/work great. So far so good and I hope they hold up over time. ... show more

Great product. Looks fantastic. Took me about an hour to install from opening the box to completely finished. On my 2012 Ford F250 I simply ran the wire harnesses forward to the turn signal bulbs and connected one wire to the turn signal and another to the running light. The white wire went towards the back and spliced into an extension and connected to a purple wire that terminates on the frame rail near the rear of my running boards. This is the perfect spot to connect the white light because it's the timed dome light circuit that activates when you unlock or lock your doors and open the doors. The lights give a very cool two stage effect when you unlock because the the lights flash causing the turn signal to cycle once before the dome light circuit takes over. I mounted mine under the rocker panels facing downward and they were very easy to peel and stick after a good cleaning of the surface. The light strip has a " opt7" logo in the middle of the string making it a snap to center the strip between the doors. **** The adhesive tape is not 3M and has already begun to come unstuck in one spot. I will restock with better tape. The lights do not come with any sort of wire loom and your wires will be exposed to the elements you dont cover them somehow. If you use the "Scotchlok" blue wire connectors that are included in the kit make sure to strip 2-3 times the length of wire you usually would and fold it back on itself to create a thicker wire end because the harness wires are of such small gauge that otherwise it's difficult to get a good connection. ... show more

NOT DIY Friendly. Great product if you're able to get everything to work. I've only got the turn signal lights hooked up. Still trying to figure out how to hook up the other 2 functions. 3 Stars because customer service sucks. They do not reply to emails when asking for instructions or any support.

I love these lights!! I was struggling to decide where to put these on my F350... on the lower edge of the rocker panel just above the pinch weld seam or under my running boards. I went with under my running boards and I have no regrets. You can't see the LEDs which makes them an "indirect" light source being tucked up under the running board. The glow of them off the road really compliments my truck. The glow of the sequential turn signals REALLY get people's attention and look great moving from back-to-front off the ground under the truck (even better in the snow!) When I open my doors, they switch to all white and light up the underside of my truck. It's nice to be able to see where I'm going to be standing/stepping while getting in or out of my truck. My 7 year old nephew calls them my "monster lights" because he can see if there's any monsters hiding under my truck before we get in, lol. The adhesive is holding up great through their first salty (road salt) New England winter. Good surface prep is a must and the company understands this as they include an "adhesive booster" to apply to the cleaned surface prior to adhering the light strip. Highly recommend and would buy again in a second. It's a very inexpensive upgrade that has a huge impact on the look and usability/practicality of the truck. ... show more

Works good so far. Took a little while to figure out where to run the wires as there aren't any vehicle specific installation instructions or videos online. Asked the dealership to install them while my truck was already there, and they ended up saying they couldn't figure it out (I think the tech just didn't want to have to deal with it). So they ended up charging me $150 just to place the strips on. So don't bother, you can do the installation yourself. Here's what I did for my 2010 RAM 1500. First you need to run the dome light wire (white) from the passenger side through your frame (as seen in photos, don't mind the rust). Then I ran it up through the e brake plug, and then up into the driver side of the dash. The wire you want to tap into for the dome is Yellow with white stripe (if I remember correctly, could always just use a tester). The t tap connectors I used (has to be the blue ones)(or just use the ones they supplied): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081PVPZZM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Next take your headlight assemblies out as it's soooo much easier then trying to access the turn signal through the little door in the wheel well. Find the corresponding wires on the blinker and t tap those. Pretty easy as there are only 3 wires, black for ground, one for the day running lights and the other is signal. I think the middle wire was for the day running lights, and the outside was for signals. If not, just switch them. Then ground the black wires anywhere. I used the existing ground spots on each side for the battery and ECU. And you're good to go once you put everything back together. ... show more
