  • They look great!
Size: 60" Sequential
I’m mainly using these for cosmetics purposes so I only have the amber lights wired into my DRL switch. I actually mounted them on the plate of my rock sliders pointing at the truck so it gets a nice glow reflecting off the bottom panel of the doors. Exactly what I was going for. LOVE THEM!

  • Nice lights and a good fit.
Size: 78" Non-Sequential
The media could not be loaded. Nice and bright. Works with or without parking lights on, unlike the ones I removed. Have had several OPT7 products in past, wish I would have found this before the other. The only suggestion I have is a protective coating on the wires coming out of the light for at least 10 inches to hide wires and abrasion. I added a protective sleeve and heat shrink to protect the wires. Length is perfect for the crew cab GM truck. I wanted non-sequential lights, now I have them. Recommendations to anyone: Clean your surface well, then use a 3M primer 94 for a more permanent adhesion, layout and plan your install. ... show more

  • White for running lights means no turn signal
Size: 78" Sequential
Just installed today, fairly straight forward to install. Ran mine forward and tapped into the headlights. My only complaint is that I opted to use the white courtesy light as a running light and not use the constant amber running light. Unfortunately by doing this, the turn signal does not work if you have head lights or running lights on. The turn signal does work if no other lights are on in this configuration. I tried tapping into several different locations, none of this resolved the issue. If you wish to utilize the white lights for running lights. Just know that the turn signals will not work when your lights are on. They will just remain white ... show more

  • Not durable with out some help.
Size: 78" Sequential
The adhesive and flimsy brackets that come with the light strips more than likely will not stand the test of time. I will be installing these in aluminum channels, which will help these things last for a long time. Also, the channels will be attached to the brackets for my running boards so that I am not drilling/adhering anything to the body of the truck so rust won't be an issue. I have tested these out on the floor of my garage, and they work well. I will post an update with pictures and video when this project is all completed. UPDATE: 05/28/2025: Got these installed on the 25th. Upon winding them out, each one had some kind of defect about a foot or so from the end on both of them. Not too sure what this is, but they still work, for now. Once project is totally complete, I will add a video showing the lights. ... show more

  • Challenging install but worth it.
Size: 78" Sequential
So I’m just an average guy with basic knowledge and master of none of them. It was very challenging installing these due to not having a dependable wiring diagram for my 2021 F250. They vary so much based on year, model, and options. I eventually gave up and did trial and error. Here is what I learned. 1) throw away the blue splice clips, they are garbage and don’t make good connections. Even cost me time because they made me think I was on the wrong wires. I cut my wires, spliced them in by twisting them, capped, taped, and shrink wrapped. (Overkill prob but I didn’t want any issues) 2) buy a cheap multimeter from Walmart or wherever and go on YouTube to learn the absolute basics. If I can, anyone can. It will help a ton if you go the route I did with trial and error. 3) Shrink wrap your connections and a large one over where the wires leave the lights. Will protect from weather. I even bought corrugated tubing to protect the wires until they went into the cab. 4) There are many way you can prob get this done. My way is just what I did. I found a constant power with the vehicle on, a ground (although I was told making your own is better), I pulled my taillights to find the blinkers, and I found a courtesy light wire for the white light upon exit. The lights themselves are absolutely awesome. Bright, match the amber running lights, provide plenty of white light when entering and exiting, and you can’t miss the turn signal. I cleaned the surface with brake cleaner and they have not come loose at all and have been on for couple months now. If you have a wiring diagram the install will be a breeze. If you don’t, be prepared to have some patience. The difficult of the install has nothing to do with the lights. It has to do with every vehicle being different. Not even about different makes, but based on year, model, and options. If that isn’t hard enough, the wiring colors on driver side and passenger side were different. Even with the difficulty, I’d buy them again. ... show more
