I have different coffees and teas for different occasions or scenarios. If I need a strong caffeine shot I drink coffee or some strong black tea. I have some black tea from India that makes coffee look weak. If you like tea and you need a lot of caffeine this tea fits the bill. I have weaker teas such as green tea or oolong tea when I need some caffeine but not a lot of it. This oolong tea will help fill this space. I got some oolong tea a year or two back from a well known large tea company. Their oolong tea is pretty plain, it wasn't very good. I really like a lot of their other teas but they didn't do a good job on their oolong tea. My wife and I go to authentic Chinese restaurants not the American style Chinese buffet places. We don't have a good impression of those places. We go to the "real" Chinese places. The ones that are close to what you would get in China. At these places I like to drink oolong tea. They have a lot of good teas but I'm more of an oolong fan versus their other teas that they serve. Oolong tea is from China, specifically the Fujian province which is right across the Taiwan strait from Taiwan. So I know the good oolong tea from the not so good ones. Had this tea been from another western country like the other one I tried I wouldn't have requested it. Since it's from Taiwan which is real close to Fujian that gave me the impression it was probably going to be pretty good. My impression was correct. It's a good tea with a good flavor. I've been drinking it since I got it. So at the times of day when I want something that tastes good but I need a smaller shot of caffeine versus a larger shot of caffeine this tea is one of the teas that fits the bill. I recommend this tea.

This is a mild oolong tea that comes in individually wrapped sachets. Each pyramid teabag is made out of a mesh-like material. I like the lightly floral taste of this. It's good, but is quite expensive with an MSRP of 26.60 (at time of review). The box, the leaves, and everything about it screams premium, but it comes with the accompanying price tag too. That being said, it would make a nice gift.

QUICK LOOK: First off, this tea does a great job of describing itself in its product listing. It's a mellow tea that is going for a lighter green or white tea flavor profile. You'll want to set your expectations accordingly as if you're expecting a bolder flavor profile, it's going to be hard to get from this tea. What I enjoy most about this particular tea IS the fact that it's light. The refreshing flavor notes are a great contrast from other teas that can be overbearing. You typically find this level of complexity in tea houses or places that specialize as they are not trying to overload you on strong notes, but invite you to enjoy the more subtle nature of the tea itself. The tea bags themselves work great for steeping as they are slightly "rolled" if you will and allow the team to move a bit inside the steeping pouches. Once the pouches take on water they expand out and actually show that there's a good amount of tea inside each satchel. THE GOOD STUFF: - Nice and unique light flavor (this is NOT a bold tea) - Great quality on the satchels - Arrived fresh and has remained so for a while now - Different from other overstated teas! - Good value for the money THE NOT SO GOOD STUFF: - Not a negative - but this tea may not be for those that are expecting a bold or bright flavor. This tea is so good! I'm a big tea drinker, and while I normally go for a green or chamomile tea, I'm trying to branch out, so I went with this one. It's delightful. First, it comes in nice packaging that I would say would make it good for gift giving to a tea lover. There are individually packaged packets, so it's easy to bring along with you. As far as flavor goes, it's wonderfully light and balanced, and I get a sense of honey and fruit. This is the sort of tea I love to drink while relaxing or even with a lighter meal. You can drink it hot or chilled over ice, and either way I think it's delicious. I will definitely need more of this when I'm out.
