According to the photo, it looked like a higher and more robust tennis shoe. The sole is very hard which makes the shoe very uncomfortable.

These shoes are now in third generation in my collection. I’ve retrofitted the old school shoelaces for a more practical shoe and done other modifications to address little issues. The big issue, though, continues to be the soles. Even in the latest generation the manufacturer hasn’t addressed this: the shoe collects rocks and gravel and worse. If the user happens to step in the worse left by a dog, the mess spreads through the many air pockets, requiring a very “hand’s on” cleanup. OK if you are at home with a dozen different brush sizes or a pressure washer, but harder, say, at an outdoor barbecue restaurant working with plastic utensils and a napkin. It’s bad design. Pretty simple really. Unless you run on only prepped tracks, this is not a practical shoe. The waterproof version is stiff in the upper, and with the sole issue just brings another thing to get beyond after paying the premium. Wish I had an answer after three rounds, but that’s not my job. Sitting in the backyard or waking/running on smooth surfaces? Great shoe! Outdoors? Not so much. Pick your places to wear this one and all the others in the On line. Run the risk of sliding/falling with all the crap collected in your sole if you venture out, though. Also, install carpet in the house, since these will ruin wood floors if you happen to wander in after collecting debris in the soles.
