I tried on 8 different running/training shoes from ON, Hoka, New Balance, Brookes, and Asics. These and the Hoka transport were the top contenders but the Cloud Eclipse won in the end. First, they look better and come in a lot of unique colors. But I wanted a supportive and very cushioned shoes. I wanted to feel like I was walking on clouds. These came the closest. I also under pronate moderately and like the great arch support these provided. They are lightweight and feel good when walking, running, or working out. They are true running shoes so I lean forward and I'm more on my toes and not neutral. When you start moving it feels natural but standing still may be uncomfortable for some. They are not small shoes either. They are tall and chunky because of the cushioning. So far these are better than any other shoe I have tried on, including the cloud monsters and cloud runners. The Hoka transports came in a not too distant second, but go a half size up in those. ... show more

I've purchased this model less than 3 months ago and was using for 1-hour walks on rotation with other sneakers, so, it was used about 2-3 times a week max. It did feel nice at first, with that really soft, yet responsive cushioning. No running/jugging/jumping or any other excessive training... Just walking on some smooth concrete sidewalks. But after just under two months, the inner lining starts to show some significant signs of wear and the insole under the front of the foot now feels quite “bumpy”, like I’m using some Shiatsu massaging inlays…  After filling out the warranty claim on “On” site (going through their intricate process with all the pictures from all required angles, serial numbers, factory codes, etc), the warranty claim with "ON" was still rejected with the following: “On does not maintain a storefront with Amazon. As a result, they are not a certified dealer of On products and we are regrettably not able to evaluate your warranty claim. We ask that you please reach out to your original place of purchase for assistance with your warranty concern. Moving forward, we recommend purchasing On products directly from our website…” Amazon representative was understanding enough and refunded that purchase. Need to add, that other sneakers used in rotation, like Hoka Bondi9, show no significant signs of wear (besides some reasonable outer sole wear) after the very same use and the inner lining is still pretty much “like new”. Though, the feeling of a great disappointment with “On” is still there – the product from a such “hyped up” company doesn’t live to the expectations and the customer support simply rejects the warranty… Especially considering their sneaky way to get the 3rd market share) in sneakers sales in US in just a couple of years (after well-deserved Nike and Adidas). Hope this company goes under the same lightning way as they got onto US market with all the hype on “unusual look” and “Swiss tech” fake promises… ... show more
