I have purchased quite a few of these, and I like the ones that sit inside the pool best because you don’t have to worry about the balls hitting your screen enclosure as much as you do the ones that sit on the edge of the pool. We purchased a pool anchor for ours, and we have one of each under the pool. The other ones that companies make have Styrofoam that hold there’s a float and over time they will fall apart and crumble. Poor design. This one happens to be the best design we have seen yet. It has made the strongest and holds up the best on top of water. We’ve seen so far and can take the best beating. Easy to assemble and locks in versus not locking in so that’s a bonus. First off if this is not used improperly I'm pretty sure it would have been fine. Some friends decide to dunk on it and the hoop snapped right off. The base is solid when filled and it was fun to have around the pool

I bought this because my 3 year old granddaughter was coming to visit with her parents. Although she has taken swimming lessons for 2 years, she was hesitant to get in the pool past the first stair. I brought out the basket hoop and balls, put it in the water and from then on, she got into the pool and played throwing the balls into the hoop and getting out of the pool and throwing the hoop assembly into the pool and then getting back in to retrieve it and do it all over again!
